Supposedly have two big recruits in this weekend . Was asked by WW to cook for the crew. Who are they ?
Posted on 9/13/19 at 4:54 pm to rilesrick
Only visitor this weekend is Cameron Thomas, 5 star SG from Oak Hill

One never knows with these young men about their plans on leaving. Only time will tell. That is why it is important to have multiple back up options. It is also important to have an AD that supports the coach (unlike Alleva and his stupid suspension of Wade).
BTW, Manning is not going to receive a Freshman of the Year award. He is a JC transfer listed as a Sophomore on the LSU website.

And what makes you think we will be minus a scholarship or two?
I worded that wrong, my bad. Some of my meds make me a little loopy, LOL I meant scholarships not filled by a player. But I too believe Wade will do a very good job. That suspension was more damaging to LSU recruiting than the recruiting of other schools who were notified of impending NCAA infractions. A bump in the road of recruiting for Wade. But when this crap is all in the past and nobody can use it against Wade, that dude is going to smoke it on the recruiting trail!!! Anyway, sorry for the mis-wording.

This is 100% FALSE.
Well if you agreed with any part of what I said, it is not 100 percent FALSE. And I did not say they were leaving, I said they MAY have a max exodus. See that word MAY, it it isn't an absolute, it is a conditional word, meaning there is the possibility. And yes, there is the possibility that several players MAY leave after this season. The scholarship deal was mis-worded, I meant Wade MAY not be able to fill some spots. Again, I used the word MAY, meaning there is the possibility. Again, I did not say those things would happen, I said they MAY happen. And as concerning the BEST player on the team, Manning (and this is according to the HC, Will Wade) if he has a monster season and is projected to go in the lottery, I'd be willing to bet my last buck he will be gone. And all this is depending on the season each player has. Like I said, things that MAY, happen, Not WILL Happen. Thank you for comprehending.

1 maybe 2 of those will leave early, not even close to all 4
I'm certainly hoping not all 4 leave, I was just pointing out that they are all pretty good basketball players and there is a chance they may all leave. I mean, look at UK, they send 4 and 5 underclassmen into the draft in some years. I never said it will happen, just that the possibility exist it may happen. All depends on what kind of season they have and where they are projected to go in the draft.

We have at least one unfilled scholarship. Two if you count Graves. That is what the poster is referring to.
Thanks man. I may have worded it wrong, but thanks for clarifying.

I don't see a mass exodus either.
I don't want this, not at all.
quote:
. I don't see Emmitt as an early entry player, but worse players than him have gotten terrible advice, so who knows.
And this is why I think it may happen. I mean, you put a quarter mil in front of a 19 or 20 year old and you have no idea if they will take the money or not. And that's just a quarter mil. Not even talking about millions. Wade has some very good basketball players on this team. And just like UK and Duke, who sometimes send several players into the draft, we may start doing the same. When you sign the best HS players, this is something that is going to happen.
From what I saw last year, I don't think Smart or Emmitt will be pro ready. Manning, from what I've seen, he is a pretty good player. I wasn't surprised when Wade said he is the best on the team. Can't say for sure about Watford, haven't seen him play at this level. But like you said, you never know what a player will do. never know what kind of advice they are getting.
Anyway, thanks again.

We should have a Tigerdroppings gathering at a park, play some cabbage ball, you can cook and everybody else can pay for the food and drinks. Kinda like a Tigerdroppings tailgate.

Yep met Cameron and his family Saturday. Very nice folks they were quite happy and having a great time . He’s a very well mannered guy very low key for such a stud player.

Bringing in #20 recruit in country would be big to say the least.
Thank God Wade survived the fiasco.

I would be nice to see LSU stack a few good classes on top of each other. I don't know if anyone on this roster (including Watford) is a surefire 1st rounder at the moment. Now, that doesn't mean they won't leave early, but last year we went into the season essentially knowing that Waters and Reid were leaving at the end of the season.
Returning Smart, Williams, Days as Juniors to go with Watford as a Soph and a few highly rated Freshman could make LSU an SEC favorite again next season.

Well, Coach Wade will do that. He was set to bring in a haul last class but your boy Alleva stepped in and fricked it up.

Picked up another CB on him last night. If he commits and signs early, that would be huge for filling out this class.

I got a buddy who's tight with the coaching staff and said Thomas literally did not miss in his workout this past weekend.

This is what I want to see. And I hope we can keep players in the program for more than a year or two.

I'm trying to get more information on Sekou Gassama, the 6'10" PF we offered last year in the 2021 class. He goes to my cousin's old HS in St Louis and my cousin knows his host family.
Gassama and teammate Yaya Keita (also a 2021 recruit) are from Africa and were brought to their HS by former coach Blake Ahearn through his international basketball connections. Ahearn is an alum of the HS as well and coached there for a year or two before taking the HC job for the Spurs D-League team.
