All charges against Josh Leblanc have been dropped in a DC court per news reports. No admission of guilt was required or given. He must not contact the plaintiff or come within 50 feet of her.
The determination of eligibility will be up to the NCAA. I would think it would be a question of whether they allow him to play in fall of 2020 with a transfer waiver or wait until after exams in december 2020.

Yeah I mean thats the question. Leblanc will say I was booted off the team for no good reason and forced to transfer to play basketball. NCAA will say well at the time you had this illegal act against you being reported, etc...could be interesting.

If Fields can get immediate eligibility to Ohio State by lying, surely Leblanc can do the same for telling the truth.

Fields wasn't lying, UGA never retorted what was yelled at him supposedly at baseball game. I'm not saying he should have been immediately eligible, but what he said took place did.
Again, all depends on how the situation with Leblanc unfolds here. He will obviously play the they kicked me off for no real reason angle and had no choice but to transfer.

What happened with LeBlanc

I thought Fields got his elgibility because a Baseball player was overheard yelling to put him in the game in a racial manner. I hadnt heard anything about a baseball game.
Also, how did Tathan Martell get his elgibillity. After reading about it, I think Leblanc may be granted a waiver if they appeal.

Yes that's exactly to what I was referring to.

Since he was going to a team that OSU won't play (and cuz i assume OSU knew he wasn't good) they gave him a full release from his scholarship under some NCAA rule that allowed him to be immediately eligible.
IMO it was OSU not wanting any attention on them after Fields got his eligibility so instead of having Martell in the media saying "Why can't I play but Fields can?" they decided the best PR move was to just let him play and have the story die.
FYI: This explanation on Martell is something I heard on the college football channel on Sirius radio. I think it was Chris Childers that explained it but I am not 100% certain.

I thought Tate got eligible immediately because of the coaching change at Ohio State. They usually let that slide.

I honestly don't know anything more than what I heard on the radio and it is literally the only source i've heard or read that gave any explanation at all. The segment that they discussed it was because some TE that transferred from like Penn St. to Temple or something like that cuz his grandma was sick got denied his waiver so they were looking into the guys that got to be immediately eligible to compare situations.
To them it seemed like only QBs were given waivers to play immediately and they believed that it was because good QBs means better looking football which means more money, etc. They never really proved that their hypothesis was right or wrong but their research said that Tate didn't have to sit out cuz OSU allowed it and that it wasn't the NCAA's decision at all.
They said most schools don't use this rule for transfers cuz they don't want the next guy to transfer cuz he thinks he'll get a free release. And they don't want to get into the game of picking and choosing who gets a free release and who doesn't for obvious PR reasons.
It seemed to be a logical explanation to me but I really don't have anything concrete to prove its true.

Free 247 article on 4-star Top 80 overall PG Eric Gaines. We are one of first names mentioned on his offer list and he's only visited Georgia State so far (he wont end up there).
Averaging 20 points, 6 assists, 5 boards on a 24-1 GA high school team. Wade has mentioned going after another PG this class, this might be him.

Definitely fills a need for us in this class to go along with Cook. Especially if Smart decides to go.

Smart returning would be huge from an experience standpoint.
This class is going to be big in #’s and talent it appears.
Is Anselem reclassifying? LSU lean?

Every Crystal Ball prediction favors LSU. No word on reclassifying yet.

He transferred after a female student filed a complaint against him last semester. He was never charged. Galen Alexander, who played his freshman year at LSU is also transferring. I think Georgetown has lost 4 players this season.

Any news on Shareef? Is he going to take a visit to Memphis?

Updated with Mwani Wilkinson commitment. Also can we get this back on the front page stickied?

It appears that CWW and staff are looking to finish the 2020 class with some combination of Eric Gaines, Shareef O'neal, Darius Miles, and possibly Frank Anselem if he reclassifies. All this will depend on what early entrants we have.
