About Jake Cave for 2011, I heard UVA's pitching coach called him up and cursed him out for committing to LSU
dont think it really matters a lefty throwing in the mid-90s is likely to make some good money out of high school

lsu baseball commit 2010 curt mccune of destrehan........last start struck 13 with no walks.
tall, lanky right hander that throws 89-90. i've seen him top out at 93. consistently throws in the high 80s.

He won't be playing C at LSU. Pitcher is where he projects.

I think Dunham's field dimensions are fairly typical of high school baseball. Not a small field that is padding stats for their players.
I still remember when A. Johnson, Tyler Moore, and one other kid from BR Astros (14's) were "shopping" schools. It was sort of a package deal where they all decided to go to the same school where they could play early and be studs. Academics weren't exactly a priority. Can't say the plan has not worked. They're a big fish in a small pond. Between that and the Catholic High transferee's (Lacour, Dyson, Clark), Dunham should make some noise in the AA playoffs.

Is Tyler Moore a catcher or an infielder?
Posted on 4/19/10 at 9:24 pm to LSUGoose
Do you know any stats on him?
Posted on 4/20/10 at 7:40 am to acefal1
Nope - have not seen him play in high school.

Here are some stats on Aaron Johnson and Tyler Moore.
Aaron Johnson- .537 avg, 10 doubles, 11 homeruns, and 43 RBIs. I think his record for pitching is 5-2.
Tyler Moore- .491 avg, 12 doubles, 3 homeruns, and 33 RBIs.

yeah he pitched a few innings against us and i was highly impressed with his curveball. don't get me wrong his fb was plenty fast, but most impressive pitch was the deuce.

Who is "us"?

Not sure if LSU is interested but i have seen him(James Coats)play and he is a talented ball player. I expected him to get a lot of playing time early at parkview but that didn't seem to happen. I am not sure what happened there.

Parkview baseball is turning into what Evangel used to be in football when it came to producing college caliber kids who don't pan out in college. Alex Edward was a great high school hitter who hasn't seen the field at LSU. Forrest Moore was a great high school pitcher who couldn't get people out at Mississippi State.

I have heard Alex's name more than a few times this season coming in and playing left field more than a few times. He will be a good player for the tigers.

Parkview Kids (from memory)
Alex Edward - jury is still out, but you can tell Manieri is trying to get him in when he can.
Byo - not doing too bad at Tulane as a freshman. Started LSU game, but got rocked.
Hunter Decell - at BRCC
Josh Janway - doing pretty good pitching at SLU
Kellen Bozeman - freshman at LSU saw spot duty, tore it up at LSUE as soph, tore it up at Delta State as jr, now I don't see any stats on him. Not sure if he's hurt or what.
Forrest Moore - total head case, both him and his dad, supposedly had arm surgery and then bolted or "got" bolted from State. Not sure where he is now.
Speaking of Parkview, what is status of football players:
Carneal Ainsworth - any chance he sees the field again?
Clay Spencer - anywhere on OL depth chart?

Change to Barbe please. You're way off on the school. And yes, his dad is the coach and has been for at least 15 years...At Barbe.
