It's tough to say where they are as first year contributors since most of who we're talking about right now are 2026s.
Overall we have to take a smaller number of guys because the total roster limits are lower starting in August. So they're going to be pickier. The kids are also going to be pickier. There is more money being thrown at players too, because the scholarship dollars are going up (but not all the way to 100% in most cases) plus NIL deals.
We're also getting a little more visibility of the targets. So it's going to look like more misses, but that's just because now we know more about who we were in on that we aren't getting.
I don't think any of it is any sort of cause for concern.

Same HS as Brady Ebel (LSU), Trey Ebel (A&M), Seth Hernandez (Vandy), Billy Carlson (Tennessee), Ethin Bingamon (Auburn)
They're okay at baseball.

Some notes I heard about the team:
Catcher Position as of now:
1. Hernandez
2. Arrambide
3. Priester
I asked who the best pitcher he has faced so far and first name immediately was Ware. He said he is dominant.
Schmidt is really talented, said changeup was nasty and throws upper 70s on changes compared to a mid to high 90's FB.
Team is super talented and thinks they can win a ring this year.
I got some other tidbits, but I'll keep it at that. I'm really excited for this team and ready to see them play in February.

I assume you mean outfield fence, it is looking kind of ragged lately.
I would love to cut down on the ads and make it look more like a true ballpark but I understand the revenue it generates for the program.
Will it be ready in time?

If they can't take the ads out, atleast make the ads monochrome, so they look more uniform

Jay mentioned in the same podcast with Mikie that if you want to go to the scrimmages the best ones to go to will be this weekend
after this weekend, the Purple and Gold World Series will likely only be 2 games the following weekend and those will be shorter games and several pitchers have been or will already be shut down for fall

I’ve seen about 6 scrimmages thus far and I agree that Ware has been our best pitcher on a consistent bases. Truly impressed with the way he’s thrown to this point.

Saw ware in Biloxi and he was sharp
Do you make him a starter or keep him in pen?
Anderson likely gets a chance to start as well

Anything you suggest I hope they do the complete opposite

Landon Schutte committed to Georgia. Bit of a shock to me. I thought he basically all but committed to us on his visit.

Commit means nothing anymore, UGA probably gave him the best NIL deal

My go to guess on these posts committed to Georgia yesterday, so I got no clue. I know we’re hosting visitors because Bubba Coleman is in town.
