Yeah not really a big loss. The injury derailed what might've been a good career but honestly outside of the start in the regional in Oregon the stuff just really never developed

We are very thin on left handed pitchers all of a sudden. After carrying 10 last season (including Jake Brown), Anderson and Primeaux are basically the only 2 sure things for next season right now. Jump, Ackenhousen, Coleman, Johnson, and Bronzini are all gone. Brown may be a hitter only. Herring and Loer are up in the air. Caminiti, Bateman, and Ware are the only 3 from the signing class and we'll see how the draft goes with them. I don't see how we don't add 2-3 lefties from the portal.

I agree that 9-10 was too many but we do need 6 and right now we're guaranteed 2. I'm not sure I would predict we get to 6 come August with our current situation. That's why we need to add 2.

I know you were being sarcastic, but people really think there is going to be one of these top HS players announce they are dropping out of the draft to come to LSU weeks before the actual draft.

MLB.com latest first round projections didn’t have Schmidt in it. I’m hoping he’s got a high number and it could be good news. Not overly optimistic though.

I know it’s not a real thing, but I’m hoping Schmidt pulls a Kling and publicly declares his intent to come to campus and follows that by pricing himself out of the draft.
