re: LSU Baseball 2024 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread OLD THREAD

The leverage part is the biggest reason he will go. He has done everything he needed to do to improve his draft stock by getting much better at the plate and showing a little bit of power. At this point it is completely on Braswell as far as wanting to enjoy a college career vs taking what he can get now and starting his minor league career and see if he can continue to improve and work his way up. Will be an interesting one to keep an eye on.

Tutko hadn’t really been following guys like past years. Until now. He’s on Sheerin. Makes me think there is a visit being scheduled with him.

I did a little loooking….sheerin follows LSU baseball on instagram. Seems to be pretty real here. Seems to be a recent follow too.

To me Shores is not a known commodity at this point. Who knows how he will return from injury, and he obviously hasn't proven he can stay healthy for a workhorse role yet.

I’m starting to wonder if our in with Sheerin is through Luke Holman. They are both from PA and their hometowns about 6 miles apart.

Who will be draft eligible next year out of Milam, Larson, Brown, Anderson, and Johnson?

Anderson.
I thought Larson was but it's looking like he's not a DES based on the birthday I'm finding.
Seo, Mitchell (portal), and Roellig (portal) would also be draft eligible next year as redshirt freshmen.

I believe Larson will only be 20 next year if I remember. Think it’s just Kade.

Thanks. That's very encouraging to have Milam, Brown, and Larson for 2 more seasons. They all seem like pieces you could win a championship around. Hopefully Anderson earns his rotation spot and kills it and is a 1st round pick. I'm glad Johnson has 2 more years. I don't see him being rotation ready next season. Hopefully he can progress to primary reliever and then progress to Friday night guy by year 3.

Ryan Verdugo from Cal St Bakersfield has committed to Kentucky. He was mentioned on this board, but not sure if in this thread. We kicked the tires on him. I think he's draft eligible as well.

'Scone said yesterday (I know, I know)...
But he mentioned Neal possibly entertaining the portal.
Has anyone else heard that? Sorry if it's been discussed in here already.

He has speculated on guys entering the portal, nothing more. Particularly Kling, Frey & Neal because he doesn’t think they can get better at lsu. I don’t agree with him. But please do not treat it as inside info

Just asking because "he doesn't read the board" but gets his info from the board. Wondered if it had been discussed here already.

I think they can all get better here. Now they may think a change of scenery can help and I can also see that too. Particularly Kling.

Is there anyway to modify the first page with rankings on perfect game or is that impermissible because some of the content is premium? I know some of the main HS recruits that are at high draft grade risks, like Griffin, Caminiti, and Schmidt but who are some of the others that are likely high picks that may not make it to campus?

Evan Chrest has committed to Florida State.
Link Jarrett is starting to scare me. He's basically using every JUCO and every non-P5 school in Florida as a feeder to FSU.
And when you think about the amount of talent in Florida that slips through to lower level schools, it's unreal.

Chest is off the board to FSU

Would we have preferred Chrest or Chest?
