Zeb Ruddell is off to a fast start in summer ball: Stats
I think he's got a chance to be more than a depth piece in his time at LSU. Not based on a three game summer ball sample, I just think he's going to be a good player and could potentially play 3 OF spots.

Outside of all the draft turnover, the players left on the roster in the OF will be interesting to watch.
Looks like Zeb is playing some CF out there. That league has a bit of coverage on Twitter

We seem to be wanting to add an outfielder in the portal. I think the talent level is good, but there won't be a lot of experience. There are a lot of power COF/1B/DH types we're going after.

After game yesterday someone asked about the LHP on the roster and their impact and during his response Jay specifically mentioned Kade Anderson and Jake Brown and the importance lefties are in college baseball.
Have to think that was done purposefully!

Cam Cantini reclassified to 2024

I'll shuffle the lists. That's pretty big. Anxious to see where he slots in that class. We're so top heavy in the 2024 class.

We have what 3 of the top 5 high school prospects?

Posted on 6/6/23 at 11:42 am to ProjectP2294
That is some big news. He was definitely one of the top prospects in the country of 2025. I'm sure he will be right up there with Curiel and Griffin.

PG has slotted Cam Caminti at #10 in 2024 with now gives us 5 of the top 12 players in the class.
#1 Derek Curiel
#2 Konnor Griffin
#4 Cade Arrambide
#10 Cam Caminti
#12 Landon Victorian

Getting 1 of those to campus will be a big win.

Hope Cameron Johnson makes it to campus

quote:
Johnson comes at hitters from a low 3/4 slot with a ton of deception, allowing his plus fastball – which has touched 98 mph – to play up even further. His slider is wildly inconsistent, from plus to below-average, and he’s barely used a changeup in high school. He missed the end of his senior season with elbow tendinitis, with no reports yet of anything structural, but the LSU commit’s chances to go in the first round have probably evaporated.
From Keith Law’s latest top 100. Ranked him at #69

Hope he decides to come and get that slider development lol

That is the lowest I have seen him ranked. Most rankings have him between 30-45. I always compared him to Robby Snelling last year. Difference is he is trending a little bit down and last year at this time is when Snelling started to skyrocket. Guess we will see but I would love for him to actually make it. Guess we will have to find a pitching coach quick to talk to him.

I read a while back that Braden Montgomery who rakes for Stanford is rumored to enter the portal after the season. I believe he is originally from Mississippi.
If true, I hope CJJ is all over that!!!

Project question for you
I saw Tutko followed Mercer recently (the ND LHP)
Then Jordan followed the ND Head coach do you think that means we could be getting his commitment

Jordan had already been on the HC. I just think that the two coaches being on him means a visit or real interest.
