Tonight: Griffin was the No. 1-rated prospect in the Class of 2025, reclassified to 2024. Baseball America lists him as the No. 1 high school player in the 2024 MLB Draft.

Two-way player, FB up to 93 mph, advanced arm strength in the outfield, according to Perfect Game #LSU

I’m a St. Paul’s Alumni what can y’all tell me about Kade Anderson? I’m at work and unfortunately don’t have time to go through the thread.

Extremely talented LHP coming off injury. He signed his LOI today. Will be a big of a draft sweat due to his talent, but we stand a good chance of getting him to campus. There has been some talk of him being a two-way guy at LSU as well.

If I remember correctly, he's got advanced pitchability and command, velo is starting to come on.

Im sure the thought is, between some creative NIL money and some guys will have to fall, you get a couple if things fall right

Griffin can ask Crews if he has any regrets about coming to school. The answer will be a definitive no at this point.

Can't hurt for sure. It just feels like Griffin will be a tough sign for MLB teams depending on the situation. Certain situations you just don't pass up, but if Griffin were to have the same situation as Crews and have a little bit of a down year going into the draft, I can see him betting on himself and coming to college. That is a big if on the down year however. Kid is the real deal.

However that ends up playing out, I'm just glad he chose the good guys. Has to say something about the program and Johnson that top players want to play for him and LSU.

Really no downside to signing kids like that as long you go into it with contingencies and don’t hang your hat on them making it to school.

Jay is a masterful recruiter. This program is in really good hands

100% correct. That was the problem LSU had in the Smoke days. Had some top recruits committed with no backup plans. MLB draft killed LSU each year and the talent that got to campus wasn't enough.

Makes it a little bit easier now with the transfer portal to take more chances on top ranked recruits. As said, Johnson seems to be a master mind in recruiting and knows exactly what needs to be done.

4 days ago it appears we have picked up a commitment from
Ansley Mauldin
1B plays at IMG now
He appeared on the PG list but he’s got a tweet with his commitment out

I saw him on PG, but I don’t see any of the coaches acknowledging it yet. Kind of weird.

If that happens, said player would not count against the roster numbers right? Would count as one of the covid spots?

Also, I'm assuming you see something on twitter specific to make you think this?
