Imagine a high schooler in any sport saying my goal is to experience college life. Lol.

Little has the highest upside in the room besides Hurd and probably Gage, he just lost any kind of confidence at the midway point and Jay was forced to give up on him. A full off-season in the lab may fix him up. He has nasty stuff if he can get his emotions in check.

Yet every year kids choose to turn down $$$ to go to college…….for the college experience

ok and even if I agree...how long does someone go having upside before they are who we think they are? He's now had 3 full years in SEC baseball. I think he's got stuff too but he's now got a 116 inning sample size working with Scott Brown for 2 years and Wes Johnson for 1 and his 3rd year was his worst year by FAR. That's not a good trend. I'm not saying he can't be good but I think the chances are pretty low to this point.

Oh fs, not saying pencil him in as our Sunday guy week 1, just saying if Yeskie can somehow work magic and dial him in he’s a legit option. That’s all. I’m a million times more confident in Cameron Johnson and Gage Jump who have a quarter of a season of college experience combined.

Feel like folks are forgetting ab Herring. Think he'll certainly be in the mix for wknd starts

I know it's really early, but listening to a couple guys from BA on the Future Projection podcast, they expect 2024 to be a pretty weak draft overall. They don't expect there to be any clear cut number 1 guys in the way that there were 5 1/1 candidates this year.
How this will affect LSU (and other schools) is that since there aren't guys like Crews, Skenes, Jenkins, Langford, and Clark to absorb near slot amounts for the top few picks teams are going to cut deals early and push money down the board. It's possible we see more high school draftees next year than we have the last couple years because the spending will be a little bit flatter in the first few rounds.
Now, that can change if guys emerge, especially college guys.

I'm aware all kids want to play in MLB.
But for some kids the college experience is very important. Crews for example. Larson can take it or leave it. It's not a big priority for him. That is the point, for those that missed it.

Right and as you said he was given a long leash. I also agree with what you said about his mental game. He seemed to have composure but had lapses in focus that led to yo-yo performances. I’m still bullish that he contributes somehow in ‘24

I understand he was very highly rated coming out of high school, and is still pretty young. But am I the only one that thinks his stuff isn’t as good as people make it out to be? I feel like people are hanging onto his potential from 3 years ago.
I absolutely think he’s capable of giving us a Ackenhausen or Herring type outing in a regional/Omaha elimination game, but not confident in consistency throughout the season.

Recruiting like a fraternity let’s go

It’s beneficial considering he spent 1 day at Tennessee and 1 day at Mississippi State and had said he was going to go home after his visit yesterday, and yet he’s stayed atleast 1 more day

Little turned 20 two weeks ago. He's younger than multiple freshman on the team last year.
He has plenty of room to grow.

Can someone with instagram give us an update on Fidel Ulloa? It's been pretty quiet on him. I don't have any reason to suspect he won't make it here, just haven't heard anything on him in a long time.
