Every player and their parents need to leave the MLB door open at this time. The truth is teams ask a player what they want it will take to sign and when pick time comes they have 4-5 other players across the country in the same pool and start negotiating from the bottom.
It’s a fascinating adventure year in and year out the way it’s evolved. With the top 10 round pool money it gives a better representation more times than not how a kid is leaning seeing as teams cannot take risks early on with fringe athletes they way they used to be able to.

SS from Vandy is one to keep an eye on too

Carter young? Would be good depth to have. He also has a large strikeout problem

Had a solid 2021. Regressed pretty hard in 2022 and like you said Josh the K rate was terrible this year…a backup option in my book but I’m not the coach.

He could easily get back to 2021 form or better. I think he came into this season with an injury. We'd be pleased with him in the middle infield. Between Keaschall, Pineda, and Young...those are 3 exciting targets.

Does Vandy have someone ready to take his place next year? Kind of odd for a 2-year starting SS at a powerhouse to hit the portal.

He went from 16 HR's to 7 and was batting .207.
He lost his starting gig to a freshmen Diaz. Diaz is the frontrunner to replace him at the moment.

Question about Keaschall I read somewhere that he was trending towards Arizona St. I do not have a Twitter account and was curious if our staff was having a positive dialog with him. Is there interest on his side about LSU? Does it look like he may be a get going forward?
Pineda would be, at this point, my second choice!

You read that here in this thread.

Fitz and Kelly getting some love in Kendall's "Hire Wire"
Not saying it’s true or false (JK has been discussed) but if Kendall sees a competitive advantage that is to be gained for A&M. He takes it. Making LSU’s staff look this certain way is to A&M’s benefit. So Kendall runs with it. Plus he relishes f’ing with us, just for sport.

There are some statements he’s made with regard to portal players recently that make me agree with you.

Hey sorry if I'm not reading this right but is the suggestion that Keaschall is playing one team against another?

No. There was no suggestion, just an observation that he seems to leaning toward Arizona State.

Thanks for that response!

Vandy turned into a bit of a mess this year. It just reeked of bad culture. I’m surprised more from the roster aren’t looking elsewhere.

It’s been building for a while.
Rocker wasn’t too thrilled with the way he was handled there. They had another kid quit team late last season and was very outspoken about how they don’t give a shite about the players.
I feel like they’re on the brink of a collapse.

And I would love to see the full on collapse

The only thing I would have liked more would be to have seen Coach K exposed for the massive hypocrite he is.
I’d be willing to settle for Corbin getting that treatment.

The super early statement about Thatcher Hurd and showing him as a commit on their site prematurely.
And talking up LSUs chances at Maui Ahuna while Ahuna was on campus visiting Tennessee.
It’s stuff that riles up the fan base and can generate negativity toward the coach if it doesn’t work out. And specifically in the Ahuna situation, there wasn’t really much reason to think we were getting him.
I realize it comes across as conspiracy theory type shite, but I know he’s lied about and spread false rumors about coaches (not ours) in the past so I take everything he says with a grain of salt.
