Portal name to watch: Zach DeVito - Tulane. 24 IP, 40 K
Posted on 6/2/22 at 2:17 pm to ProjectP2294
Luke Keachall is in the portal now as well

I know it's less likely, but what about Noot? Would he be a 2 way player also?

I don't believe Noot is being recruited as a two way, but I could be wrong. Bronzini can hit as well.

Not sure if we are in on too many portal OFs but Jared Mckenzie from Baylor is also in the portal.
Also Brennan Holt is in the portal

Kendall mentioned him as a draft guy, but we aren't connected to him anyway.
Ahuna
Keaschall
Groff (probably going to Missisippi State)
DeVito
Moeck
the kid from Quinnipiac
McKinney
Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head that we're connected to.

A portal name we aren't connected to but could be a catcher option is Jack Alexander from Austin Peay.

Hard no for me on the Devito kid. He's not an SEC arm.

Did you mean Noot or Shores? I've seen plenty videos of Shores hitting the ball. He said in an interview also that he wasn't sure if LSU would let him swing it but he would try to talk them into trying it out if he made it to campus.

I was specifically talking about Noot, but dang, if Shores can swing it, let's get him in the box (if it'll get him to school)!!!

New portal arm to monitor:
Brandyn Garcia, LHP, Quinnipiac, 2 years of eligibility left.
Low to mid 90s arm, high strikeout, high walk
He committed to A&M today.

The more and more I talk to people Guidry and Romero are going to be tough signs

Nice article about ‘23 commit Blake Mitchell. Friday night vs Calallen, he came in to pitch in the B7 with a 3-1 lead, bases loaded 0 outs and stuck out the side to advance to the final 4. Also, the Sinton vs Calallen game was played at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi and drew 7,892 fans
