So it definitely sounds like Kling is telling people he is not in a hurry to sign if its not the right deal. He doesn't seem to mind coming to LSU at all. I can see a nice OF set up of LF-Pearson, CF-Crews, RF-Kling. I think he is a type of talent that can come in and take a starting OF spot as a freshman. Will be a battle out in the OF whether he comes to LSU or not.

Absolutely agree with everything you said from earlier if talking about Neal. The only thing that was keeping me from agreeing earlier was that Jones and Frey are really similar to Travinski. That's when Projects point about age comes into play.

Age, athleticism, versatility. They're all hit first, have some swing and miss in them. But the younger guys seem to me more malleable than Travinski. Neal is the defender in the group.

It should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Stevenson will still be in the mix. Dugas may come back. OF is another interesting spot to watch.

Dugas could play 2nd base if he returns and we get Romero at SS I think Thompson could play 3rd base.

Sad to say but so far, because of the injury, Dugas' season has been a wash.

Will be in the mix for sure. Kling gives you Pearson and Stevenson all in one. I feel like it will be hard to keep him off the field if he makes it here. Of course not quite as good defensively probably but not far behind him. Kling could play a college CF. Will absolutely be interesting.

Depending on this recruiting class they probably won't have a position that won't be interesting other than 1B and CF.

Stevenson and Kling could both play CF but we'll still have Crews next year. Ruddell and Mic Paul are other guys that could make a run early. I don't think we'll be looking in the portal for OFs.

Pearson can play some 2B.

It's fun to think about possible combinations, but I'm gonna leave it alone so Project can keep this all about recruiting.

Heard something about Gavin Guidry being injured and not being able to throw. I thought it was odd he didn’t pitch last weekend in the playoffs. He just hit. Anyone know anything about it?

Hate to hear about any player getting hurt but it may further help LSU's chances of getting Guidry. I hope it's something not serious.

Does Guidry play another position when he's not pitching? If so, where?

2B usually I’m pretty sure. 2024 commit Owen Galt is Barbe’s SS.

I noticed on twitter today that 2023 Cameran Christ from Live Oak decommitted from Mississippi State today. Someone to monitor for that class.

Yeah might be. I’m not local so I’m not sure what he plays in HS, mostly just what I can find from websites/twitter.

I’m curious how Johnson is selling playing time to a couple of these pitchers.

He can almost guarantee these kids have a chance to start as true freshmen which isn’t always the case.

I bet he goes to the portal for a starting pitcher regardless of who we sign.
