Outside of Glen’s kids, barbe has had a decent track record on sending kids to school, dating back to the late 90’s. I think Guidry’s physical stature could cause him to slide a little further then he’d like. Hope he can get to campus
yea i know
Joe lawerence drafted in the 1st
Garrin and Gavin- 4th & 1st round picks
Austin Nagle- 6th round pick
Carmen Angelini- 10th round for the yankees
all went straight to draft. I beleive the rest went to college which isnt bad considering they have had like 27 or 28 picks since 1992 and well over 100 that have went to college to play ball.
crazy the talent on the team year end and year out and crazy how much glen demands of them. cant help but be impressed.

Jacob Misiorowski is rising up draft boards after surging late in his JUCO season. I already didn't think we'd get all of the JUCO guys to campus, but it's looking more and more likely that we won't.
We are still recruiting pitchers for next season though. I think that's always going to be the case. They will never stop trying to find arms that can help because you can never have enough pitching. We're on JUCO starters, LHP and RHP. We're on JUCO relievers, we're on likely transfer portal guys, and even a few HS guys. I'll add some names later once I look at my list again. I probably won't mention the potential portal guys though.
ETA: I've seen multiple mock drafts recently that have Tucker Toman going in the first round. Something to monitor.

Looks like Mikey Romero signed his LOI to LSU today. Still a draft risk. I've seen mentions of him being a top 50 pick.

Get some impressive NIL deals in place for Micky Romero.

yeah Misiorowski will be really tough to keep especially since he's wanted to sign last year too, if I had that correct. I really want to Auckenhausen on campus, I think he will be a nice addition, possibly plug and play in the weekend rotation.

Thanks for this info.
I live in a city close to Midland, Texas, so I have kept up on Chase Shores. He is an outstanding prospect and has had a tremendous season, leading his Legacy High School team to the district title. They will be a tough team in the upcoming playoffs.
As a 6-8 pitcher, he has been very difficult to hit and the pro scouts have been to some of his games, as you might expect.
Shores is also the best hitter on his team as well.

There is an article on the Monroe paper website about Zeb Ruddell, he's dialed in on being at LSU. I thought of him as more of a corner guy, but he could probably play a little bit of CF if needed there. He's got good power potential. From a talent standpoint, there was some draft risk there, but it doesn't seem like we will need to worry about that with him.

Some of the JUCO pitchers we are looking at include:
Carson Dorsey - Gulf Coast (FL)
Kenya Huggins - Chipola (FL) - Not sure about his interest, also a draft prospect that plays on a team with a first rounder so he's being seen by a ton of high level decision makers.
Jackson Thomas - Yavapai (AZ)
Taiga Yamane - Tacoma CC (WA)

MLB.com updated their draft rankings this evening, after I spent this afternoon looking at their old ones
Notable is that Robby Snelling and Jacob Misiorowski are now ranked. Romero dropped.

Kenya Huggins is big dominating looking guy. 95-97 mph. Dorsey is a crafty lefty sits 90-91.

I think there’s more and more of a chance Jared Jones slides in the draft being a sophomore eligible player in two years.

That would be great. Would love to get both Jones and Neal but I figure that won’t happen. Especially Neal, he would finally bring the full package to the position we’ve been missing.

Seems like Romero, Guidry, Jones and Neal dropped. Shores and Crawford got some bumps and snelling finally got some recognition. Also notable MLB.com straight up mentions Toman being unlikely to go to school.

I hadn't read his blurb yet, but that's the impression I got when he had a game recently that something happened to where scouts couldn't see him hit so he stayed late and took BP for them.

Anyone has guesses on who is likely to make it to LSU?

Yes, if you go back a few pages, each position group is broken down by player by me and BayTiger.

My gut says Crawford, Toman, and Shores are probably "locks" to sign
Romero, Guidry I think we have better than 50% chance to get to campus
Kling, Neal, Noot, Jones, Snelling, and Kennedy feel like they might be coin flips but I'm optimistic.
I was saying this on the other site, I feel like this staff, especially Johnson, is way more involved with the prospects than PM was and you can tell they really want to play for him. I don't know how much that sways kids but having that relationship feels like we might see some more succees of getting kids to campus. NIL will do something about that too. Rumor that Romero already has a deal in place...
Also of note, MLB.com mentions in the blurb for Misiorowski that some scouts may want to see what he can do at LSU before really believing in him...found that interesting too

I was subscribed to another site for a brief time, but I let it lapse a few months ago.
Romero has a couple deals already, but they're not tied to anything LSU related. One is with Big League Chew but I don't remember what the other one is.
