There could be a few stragglers the next year but, but overall yeah. And I agree rosters will probably be back to a hard 35 by then.

Can’t help but be impressed with the strategic organization and tenacity of Jay’s recruiting

One thing to consider is that Nippolt will require a waiver for eligibility due to hitting the portal after the deadline.
But VCU head coach Shawn Stiffler didn't take the Notre Dame job until after the deadline, so that combined with the general waiver generosity should make it a non-issue.

Yea i can’t imagine it would be an issue given the coaching change post deadline
Are you seeing anything to indicate we are still looking at the portal for depth ?

Nothing in the portal that I've seen.
Still just the one HS kid committed to UTA and the JUCO kid from Pearl River. I'm not seeing any movement on those guys though so I don't know if they're realistic. Times getting tight though and guys start reporting to campus soon.

I was going to restart the thread this week, but I wanted to wait in case there was any more movement on the 2022 class. I think I'm just going to wait until the semester starts or if there is a press conference announcing the class like Paul used to do.

In thumbing through some local guys at other schools that may be options and really just generally exploring options (portal guys from the SEC/Pac-12, uncommitted 22 guys, etc), I noticed that several don't have or are not active on social media. So, the tried and true stalking may not be as effective in the final 1-2 guys that Jay is looking at.

Got to thinking what happens if Joubert can hit both lefties and righties? Would he still be situational?

Probably so, unless somebody else was really stumbling. So many bats to get in the lineup while still paying some attention to the defensive impact. Jay likes LH bats and generally leans toward offense, but he can't just throw defense out the window unless our pitching staff just buries teams.

Stan Wiltz is going to be another to watch in the 2025 class at Brother Martin. The kids from that Eastbank LL team are still getting after it.

Listening to Nippolt interview on 104.5 espn he is most comfortable at 2nd base.
2nd and SS are 2 very different positions.
So that pretty much settles it for me. SS will likely be either JT or Guidry.

What do you think the OF will look like? Do you think Kling starts? I do.

Crews is the only sure thing for me right now.

He loves Pierson you can pretty much pencil him in. If he continues to grow he will be in the lineup. IMO there is one spot in the outfield to play for.

Pearson and Crews will both start in the outfield.

I think Pearson would have to regress for him not to start in the OF.
It's possible, but I think everyone is hoping that doesn't happen.
