We have made the top 5 for 2023 Indiana linebacker Drayk Bowen. He is also a baseball target. 247 shows a football offer for him. He's 6'3", 205 lbs and considered a MIF prospect.

Other suitors include Auburn, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Indiana. He's looking to play football and baseball in college and my assumption is that his top 5 schools are all offering that possibility.

I don't follow football recruiting as heavily anymore, so I don't know how he stacks up on our board. Maybe Crown can put together a football discussion thread on him to get some feedback there.

Apparently Jace LaViolette has decommited. May have had something to do with landing Crawford recently, whom I certainly hope we can keep.

I took him off the list. Interested to see where he commits and if he makes it to campus there.

Will likely be some more decommits as well
Staff needs to make their own decisions
A lot of these players missed an entire season due to COVID
I'm sure the LSU staff has been tracking and seeing how they are doing this summer

In this case, it’s probably more a matter of he will end playing closer to home if he even makes it to college. I don’t think he does.

My guess is his response to new coach about draft probably made both decide to go in a different direction
Better now than holding that spot and losing him

High school recruiting will suffer, the transfer portal will be the game changer

2022 pitcher Karson Milbrandt just committed to Vandy. We were recruiting him from the metro KC area.

They also just picked up 2022 pitcher David Horn that we were recruiting from California.

This puts their 2022 class at 19 HS players.

You can't recruit against that Vandy advantage right now
They can always offer more than what LSU can financially
Corbin is also the moron that advocated for the bat changes

Perfect Game has a profile piece on Brady Neal ahead of the PGAAC game in San Diego. Some encouraging statements about getting him to campus: LINK

You are right! He sounds super high on playing at LSU, talked way more about getting to campus than he did going pro.

If we have another result with the draft like we did in 20, we'll be a problem. Really need the pitchers to make it, especially Snelling.

I’m going to try to check out that game Sunday. I think I counted 8 total LSU commitments on the rosters.

He's been committed since 9/23/2019.

That is an impossible question to answer at this point.

There is now a new program-official baseball recruiting twitter handle to follow. @lsubsblrecruit is the new handle published today by the program. It's the third public one along with the regular @LSUBaseball and @LSUBaseballData.

ETA: You can look at the list of accounts they're following to get kind of an unofficial board of targets for the upcoming classes. I've been trying to track it manually, but this will make it a lot easier.

ETAA: The most interesting name on there, to me at least, is Ryan Faulks, a 2021 that still looks like he's committed to San Diego State. Kelly has been on him for a while now, but I haven't seen any movement there yet and we're very close to reporting day for the fall.

Also, there is a guy named Drew Finley showing as an LSU coach as well. Don't know what capacity he is in with the program but I would guess we'll find out soon.

bullshite! And a complete pussy position.

Our baseball program makes a shite ton more money than Vandy’s. Take that money, launder it, and get it in the hands of the players,

Heard they were adding someone in a player personnel or player development role but I don’t think that spot was for him

Would that be Tyler Nordgren?

He was just announced as director of operations. Held the same position at Arizona.
