I know the that these picks today that a good chance they'll be signing but it would seem that if you get picked after the 5th round that the money isn't really life changing.

Although this fifth round has seen a lot of 4th year juniors and fifth year seniors, normally the 6-10 rounds are college upperclassmen to get back the money from the first five rounds

After reading up on Kennedy, I'm a little surprised that he went that high because I think he's closer to his ceiling moreso than other high schoolers. His stuff isn't too dominating but has good offspeed pitches so more of a finesse pitcher
