Kling is the real deal. I'm not kidding when I say Jay will have to find a spot in the lineup for him like he did for Pearson. He's also a Team USA kid so he can help get some of those guys to campus, too.

Him and Stevenson should be a fun battle for next season. Would have to think Crews and Pearson are for sure starters. Who knows if they move someone else already really good to the OF too who is a current starter.

Parson won't see a second of playing time but Pearson will start.

Stevenson will still get some action. He's a plus defender, though many seem to think not, and can run. Jay loves L/R and R/L matchups, too.

RH - Crews, Dugas, Kling
LH - Pearson, Stevenson, Ruddell/Paul

Will definitely be more than a him and Stevenson battle.

You know Crews is in CF. The rest is unknown. Pearson is likely a starter but he may get bumped to DH.

You have the corner spots for
Dugas (if he comes back)
Pearson
Kling
Stevenson
Jobert (if he comes back)
Haddad (still don't know his status)
Ruddell
Paul

More than likely you are looking at Dugas, Pearson, Kling, and Stevenson. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the other freshman made a little noise in the competition though.

Kling will come in as the next best defensive OF after Crews.

Thought Jay said Paul was the best defensive OF he ever recruited.

Paul and Ruddell are both plus defenders that can run, too

Agreed. Kling has the best arm of the 3 from what I have read and videos I have seen. That is pretty much what made me say he would be next after Crews.

Of course we will see more as they all get time in the fall and spring to see which ones take the best routes/best reads off the bat/etc that video clips and PG/PBR stats don't really show.

There is none. A team can still draft Kling but they won’t.

I don't think they can. I think that there is a formal process that takes them out of the player pool.

There are 4 so far for this year. Kling, 2 Vandy commits, and a TCU commit. Depending on the list you look at, Kling is either the highest or second highest rated player that removed his name.

This is interesting. First I've heard anything along those lines. Is this something you know from Frey's family member or friend of family? Or if you don't mind me asking where did you get that info from?

Frey’s mother liked and retweeted a tweet that was projecting him to be at LSU

Between me never hearing anything about Frey going MLB instead of LSU and you saying his mom is liking that tweet, I'll just assume he will be at LSU.

Mic Paul can hit as well and is very fast, could be a threat on the bases.

I saw Ruddell has some 100mph exit velos at the plate also. Sounds like all 3 freshman OF coming in can play.
