Grant Taylor was dealing today in the cape

who ends his day with 12 K’s. RHP Paul Gervase

comes in for relief.

Travinski just hit a bomb.
And looks like grant taylor had another great outing for the whitecaps. 12 k’s. They only gave up 1 run thru 6 innings, so he cant have given up more than that

No, I thought he said he was visiting Tebrake AND a recruit
Unless I missed something later on, he mentions one unnamed recruit. MSP has a lot of Delta flights, so it could be someone else in the region as well.

Tebrake
Hurd
Little
Floyd
Taylor
Dutton
Money
Gotta like those options better from a starting standpoint than heading into last year, and that's not counting Skenes, Reyz potentially coming back to extend, juco guys, and the youngsters. Shaping up to be a very formidable staff.

I’m really excited about Taylor working with Wes. Only downside is he’s a DES.

I personally think dutton for sure, and probably Money, can be better out of the pen

Gotta pray Tebrake makes it to campus and Hurds injury isn't that bad. Little was delegated to bullpen work this past season so you're praying he can turn it on. A ton of upside potential but also the potential to be using the same staff as last season with freshman arms.
Getting Skenes would be great

Pretty pessimistic

Glad you’re praying enough for all of us. I see tons of talent in that list of names.

Hurd will be fine. They plan on pitching him in the fall and he’s been cleared for throwing already. Dunno if he’s cleared for pitching from a mound yet but I know I read he’s throwing now and will pitch in the fall

I'd still like to see LSU get Alex Williams, Jake Findlay, or Paul Skeens as another pitcher before or after the draft. Getting Findlay would be insane.

Hard to see Findlay not goin to Florida state
Posted on 7/12/22 at 11:47 pm to Datsmoneydude
Yep probably follow his coach but it ain't done yet!

I’m tryin to jinx it. I said Tommy tanks would end up at fsu too and that worked out in our favor

I'm just guessing here but I feel like Money could benefit more than anybody from Wes Johnson.
Let's not forget that we get Coleman back midyear as well.
I mentioned the numbers are pretty tight on the pitching side. There are also a lot of pitchers that could go either way during the draft. I would expect Jay to see how the draft plays out before making any more portal additions, besides the obvious big game hunting.
I see it as two portal seasons. Portal season one is before the draft, where the big schools, talent grab the big names. Portal season two is after the draft when the big schools will have a better idea of their rosters. Big schools will plug the holes left by the draft and small schools will fight for the prime leftovers.
If LSU is lucky during the draft, there won't be any holes to plug.

I don't think there is contact with anyone except for Skenes right now. Seems like he is top priority and pretty much only priority in the portal as of now. Alex Williams and Jake Findlay seem like names that were just brought up here but no real traction.

I may be wrong but I wouldn't put much expectation to how much he contributes next season. Typically with TJ it takes a little while to knock the rust off and get control of your pitches again. So if he won't be pitching live until midway through the season, it might be a stretch to expect him to be a big contributor.

I was told “there’s one more out there” regarding the portal. And yes that’s Skenes
