Tulowitzki turns down the USC HC job but will no longer be the hitting coach for UT.

Interesting.

With you but I'm at the point where it I'm good with all Pitchers from here on out unless we're not sure of both Romero and Guidry getting here.

Your story is a good one. With that said, going back doesnt seem worth it, but i wish you luck. Stay alive so we can all celebrate the 2023 national championship

He has not been mentioned in quite some time but thought to make a note…former Texas RHP Carson McKinney announced he is transferring to Kansas.

Wonder how many recruits we lose because of the portal. Gonna be hard to convince them we develop players if we always bring in salty upperclassmen. Why not take the draft money?

That’s not something unique to LSU. The portal and NIL would make going to college an easier decision. At the end of the day it will always come down to money and if they get close to what they are asking for.

Feels like a poor way to make a really big life decision.

How? He committed to a college but the college doesn’t seem to be committed to him anymore. He was on the fence about the draft and NIL seems to be a myth. He can get drafted, play every day and bank some $$$

Are you talking about someone specific?

No just a baseball field conversation we have been having. If a school “masters” the transfer portal, why commit there? Go somewhere else you can get experience.

So on one hand in your hypothetical you say take the money in the draft and on the other you say go somewhere you can play and get experience? The reality is it is way more competitive and cutthroat in pro ball. Good players bet on themselves, LSU and other schools have a standard and if you can’t reach it then yeah you will get passed up.
