Ray Torres has surfaced. He's playing in the South Florida Collegiate League on the Boca Raton Blazers. It's the same league that Brandon Kaminer is listed in, but Kaminer hasn't pitched yet.
Torres is on the same team as LHP Adam Tulloch, who pitched at D2 Wingate last season but will be at College of Central Florida in the fall. He's touched 95 with his fastball and strikes out a ton of guys. We are looking at him. His stats on the summer league site aren't correct right now due to an error in how they scored last nights game.

Just for clarification, Tulloch would be a 2021 guy?

2020 class, which equals the 2021 season.
The classes are listed for the Fall semester in which they would reach campus.

Is there any indication which position Torres is playing? Also, is it correct that he was not the primary catcher on the IMG team? My guess is he will be an infielder for us if he makes it to LSU, so I was curious to find out if he is playing infield this summer.

He's catching for them. He did not play at IMG this past season. He was home schooled in North Carolina. I don't think he played anywhere in the Spring, but he could have and it's just not easy to find info on it.

The MLB PDP league is going on right now. They're playing the first game today. This replaces the old USA Baseball Tournament of Stars. It's meant to get high level prospects away from travel ball and provide high level coaching.
It also provides a scouting opportunity for MLB and all levels of college baseball, but it doesn't cost anything for the players to attend. It's all funded by MLB.
It's also replacing East Coast Pro I think, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, the games start today and they are using MLB.com's game tracker for them. The rosters have been impossible to find. I know Dylan Crews is playing. He's in one of the games now. I will keep monitoring them for any other recruits playing.
Dylan Crews is a long shot to get to campus, but other players there may not be. I would caution against thinking that just because a kid was invited to this that it means we won't ever see him at LSU.

Just saw a box bound tweet, any idea who we got? Wonder if it was a JUCO guy or a transfer, Kendall Rogers said we were looking at an RHP who committed to ASU today.

I saw the pitcher commit to ASU today. He's coming from St Mary's, a D1 school. But apparently he's going to be eligible immediately. He was a freshman all american.

Yeah, unfortunate we couldn’t sway him, but it’s not like we have a huge gap at RHP. Anyone you could mention that we have been looking at in the transfer market?

I don't know of anyone for next season beyond what I've already mentioned in this thread. The younger ones like today usually come out of nowhere.
