He’s a commit and all I see on his pg profile is he throws 93 so he’s probably pretty good

Abendroth is supposed to be the real deal. He played on the IMG National team this past High School season with LSU commits Levi Kelly and Ray Torres. Torres was the starting catcher. Kelly is a guy that I think has a chance to make it to campus. All three of them were committed to LSU before going to IMG. Hopefully they want to continue to play together at the next level.
As you can imagine, that IMG team is loaded. And they primarily played other similarly loaded teams, so all the players have been scouted like crazy.

This is second hand information but from what I hear Abendroth is very firm on going to LSU. Not interested in skipping college no matter how the draft goes

Yes. Very. Potential weekend guy or high leverage reliever.
This is a very deep draft, especially with HS pitching. That means a lot of guys are going to make it to campus this year than otherwise wouldn't.

He's very good. Excellent command. His size will keep him from being drafted, or drafted high enough to go out of high school. He can be one of those Walker/Hilliard guys that just comes in and earns a prominent role by throwing strikes consistently even though they weren't the top guy in the recruiting class.

No, I don’t think so. But he’s a lock to be drafted in the first round, so he’s more likely than anyone to sign.

Hey Project, will there be any updates on the 2 rounds today concerning any commits being selected or more importantly Not? I'm sure they will be but just asking.

I will update this thread as players and commits get drafted. If I see anything out there about guys affirming their commitment, I'll bring that here as well. But I invite others to do the same. I try to find a lot of stuff to put in this thread, but I envision it being a more crowdsourced thing.
Adam does a lot on the board and some of it in this thread, and other people contribute too, and I appreciate it. The biggest thing is that I don't catch all the news. Especially the stuff in the local papers where the commits are from. And a lot of times, that's where we can get the best info on which way a kid is leaning.
