Perhaps we didn’t want to roll out a freshman walk-on kicker?

He had scholarship offers at safety and was 2nd team all state as a safety. Would be fun to have your kicker blow someone up on a return.

Go watch some of Casey Spears video from his time at Vanderbilt. He was an animal.... should’ve been flagged many times for spearing.

Barrister do you have any info on this guy. Can he do kick offs or is he just field goals.

Nice. Maybe he can ease his way into he college game and get some instruction from the proven transfer we have coming in.

Very puzzling Walk-On offer. He is serviceable for short range stuff. Basically, an all-around athlete that kicks on his HS team. As someone mentioned.....a pretty good safety. He does not have the consistent "A" ball of a dedicated kicker. Stats were decent last year on PAT. I think he missed one, but that does not impress me. I am of the school of thought that PAT means "Perfect at All Times." Considering Cole Tracy's transfer, the presumed continuation of Jack and Connor the next couple years and our aggressive recruiting of Will Reichard ( or another top 5 kicker from 2019) and our offer to Tyson Shaw.... this walk-on doesn't really make sense to me. especially since the kid was offered the same thing at Harvard. He is a smart kid with lots of Advanced Placement classes.....should've gone to Harvard. This has me wondering if there is some grumbling about either Jack or Connor considering leaving. Seems like O's plan is to continue to not work with Kickers to develop their skill-set but rather will just pull in whichever horse is running good that week. Very puzzling and I am gonna try to get some behind the scenes information. If I learn something from a reliable sources I will share it

Yep, young man may work his way onto the field on defense. Seems to have a good anticipation of the play and break to the ball....couple of nice hits in his highlights as well.

Once again we have to get excited about a kicker

The more legs the better
