Anyone know anything about Chandler Moses from Neville?

Chandler is a very good athlete with good measureables - plays tight end & long snapper. Does not hold an LSU offer but he is a life-long LSU fan as is his family. Great kid, has multiple offers but I don't know the particulars other than he doesn't have the one he wants.

I know LSU has offered another highly ranked long snapper (possibly top ranked?) but it would be sweet if Chandler got an offer. I will say that he has the character to match his ability - he's gonna be a great asset for somebody.

Better not omit "Pooka" Williams from Hahnville. He's special!!! In space there are very few answers dealing with him. He has over 900 yds in 3 playoff games. By the way, he was a
5A all state player last year and will probably be the 5A mvp this year.

DO NOT LET THIS GUY GET AWAY!
Its up to Pooka to decide. Most likely the 5A MVP in La..

Are we signing more than 25 this year? I would think maybe 27 or 28 with all the attrition and transfers?

Depends who you ask. LSU is treating it like a hard cap at 25 though.

If you read the NCAA regs creating the early signing date they indicate schools will be held to a hard cap of 25 signees no exceptions.

I’m highly unimpressed with the oline class as it stands.

A good evaluation gauge is offer list. The current commits’ offer lists are NOT good.

I tend to not put much stock in recruiting services, rather premier colleg programs’ offers give you a hint of true/skilled analysis of a player’s potential/talent.

Same here.

Damien Lewis is a very good get. I have hopes for Wire, but there's some work to do there and I frankly don't have much faith in Grimes, especially as far as "offseason coaching" goes.

If we can get Traore, great. I said in April (I think?) Grimes should recruit him like his job depended on it. Because I think it does. Traore has some work to do, but mainly in technique. As a JUCO guy you can't wait till the season to start fixing that stuff... so I'm right back to "offseason coaching".

With Wray committed to tOSU I don't know why we're not hard and heavy on Carman. That one befuddles me. Arky had some interest and recruited him harder than us. We're basically fighting Studwra for him.

There are other really good (or highly rated) OTs out there uncommitted. I keep seeing threads where Canada is supposedly being sent on vacations, but nothing where Grimes is working on these guys.

In addition to Carman, there's guys like Petit-Frere, Luke Jones (under rated IMHO), and Tank Jenkins who we seem to toss an offer to but don't "work on". I have no doubt we're making contact, it's always a bad assumption as a fan to assume we're doing nothing (the rant's "fools errand"), but it's like we're on the Arky plan for recruiting OL... no one is worth special effort and no one is priority. If Grimes expects these guys to come to us when you have tOSU and Clemson telling them they are THE franchise OT, he's way wrong.

We're still filling holes on the OL, we're back to square 1 if we miss too many beats. And right now we are. There's still time. But I honestly think they just need to attach Thomas and/or Ensminger to Grimes to push him. When left to his own devices, I don't trust the result to be good enough.

Is Rosenthal likely to stay on the defensive side at 6'7" ? Seems like a tailor made left tackle

Yea I’m surprised we couldn’t land Slade Bolden but I guess those North La. kids are in love with Saban.

hearing from others besides this board, Pooka will be taking the JUCO route to D-1 school.

sad really, never understood why the peers of these kids don't keep them diligent in their academic progress.

A lot of LSU, but I saw a tweet he retweeted that made it look like Burton Burns visited him today. I couldn't verify if the picture was today or if just the tweet was today and the picture was older.

Is there a "recruiting dates of interest" thread/post somewhere? I searched...didn't see anything.

NSD? Early signing period, days recruits are announcing...etc.
