The reality is that No One had a crystal ball for Gilbert committing to LSU. I understand your premise, but this thing is so fluid. Probably the main reason I have made this my primary hobby.

Here's the thing....

Did any of you ever think of the idea, that Maybe Just Maybe

he's
TROLLING A&M

I think O holds some things close to his chest, I think he's ALREADY COMMITTED to us, and is Trolling the other schools at this moment....

I don't like it ONE BIT, however LSU HAS THE CARDS... He's just playing the GAME that has been PLAYED ON US by Bama for years....

I really don't understand how we could lose an elite running back to Texas A&M of all programs.

Acting what way? Not committing on YOUR time table?

Every year we go through this with some of you . These kids are making the biggest decision of their lives . Let the process work and quit jumping at every perceived thing they do.

He's controlling his recruiting

From what insiders have said, he has told LSU one thing and then stabbed them in the back. Sounds like a character flaw to me.

If he is undecided, be upfront with the coaches and respect the men that are recruiting you.

If he is indeed playing games, I would like to see Coach O set a precedent and pull his offer. Let that get out to future recruits. Don't play games.

Dabo does not allow commitments to visit other schools. Sounds like a good policy to me.

Well Coach O asked him for a firm yes or no on his in home and Evans wouldn’t give it to him

Evans needs to ask the last 5 star, #1 running back that hitched his wagon to Jimbo Fisher how well it turned out for him.

For college football, recruiting is one of the most important and serious things a university does in order to become or remain relevant in college football, or any other college sport.

Without it, all universities sports programs will die, period...

Maybe, but I think there is something to be said about Dabo's policy. I see tons of benefit to telling a recruit once you commit to us, you are all in.

Well that pretty much tells the story I guess but we surely have backup plans. So not worried. We'll just see how it plays out.

Running backs no longer make or break a program. Clyde was a three-star. We'll be fine with or without him.

If we can get a couple of elite backs lined up to take his spot if he goes to A&M (which Vol has hinted that we have done so) we will be just fine.

Jimbo will destroy his career in College Station if he does go that route.

Evans sounds like a kid that will transfer whatever school he does end up attending after getting disgruntled for no reason over playing time.

Hope we get him still, but this kid seems like he has maturity issues.

If there's one thing I will never worry about, it's us signing RB's. If Evans signs, great. If not, it's not going to affect this train much. We'll have studs toting the rock and catching the ball every year.

There’s your answer

Hopefully they’ve got a backup plan and stop assuming silent commits are worth a damn

Not really the same thing at all. Everyone thought Gilbert was going to Alabama and everyone had picks in for Alabama.

Here, Wiltfong is saying he's hearing it's A&M, but his CB doesn't match what he's saying. So, cleary he doesn't have enough confidence in what he's hearing to change his CB. If/when it goes foggy or to A&M, we will know he has legit information (or at least information he feels is legit). But if he's not confident enough to change his pick, then he's just spreading rumors and helping to build drama that he doesn't even totally believe. Why would he do that? Sub SZN and drama sells subs.

Followed crootn for decades at this point, the only thing that is nearly certain is if a kid turns it into a circus act or misleads coaches (for whatever team) he is almost certainly a bust.

Very few examples where the show is any fun to watch once hes in school.

I'm not worried about LSU's RB recruiting, but there's something that bothers me about losing a 5 star back to a dumpster fire like Texas A&M.

I hear ya, I keep looking to see if he’s changed it but at this point I think it’s a matter of when and not if...

LSU insiders are being quiet as well

What he posted was that he has legit info that leads him to believe he’ll end up with A&M.

But Evans just reposted his LSU post on Instagram so who really know ...
