Live oak Vs Dunham

As you guessed it, Live Oak got throttled.
Elijah Haven Had some absolutely beautiful deep passes and a couple scores. He also ran at will. He did throw one INT. Live oak couldn’t tackle him with one guy. Kid was absolutely a giant out there.
On the other side Live Oak has Calvin Ursin Jr. who BALLED every play. He was in on every play on defense and offense. He stood out the most. Made some incredible catches at WR and had multiple pass breakups. Very tall kid with range, and he’s a 2028 guy.
Think this kid will be a big one.
And on one more note. Not sure who Live oaks kicker is but he was constantly hitting 50+ yard field goals during warmups. Kid has a serious leg.

They do have multiple underclassmen who are nice prospects and could be part of something better In coming years

Live Oak is trash….
They blow their load every year in middle school bc they are the only parish 5A team with one Jr high, as compared to Walker and Denham who split between 3..
They have some good skill players, but will never be a serious threat.
Now - the Ursin kid is a man amongst boys. Also helps his step dad played in the NFL (practice squad maybe..?) and been teaching technique for years… couple that with size and athleticism, and you have a 5 star prospect.
Question- he was playing defense too?! Safety I’m assuming?

Although I won’t agree they’re trash because I’m an alum… Definitely won’t say they’re something great hahaha. The middle school destroys everyone by 60 (literally) because like you said, the way the district is.
Ursin was playing corner and was absolute lock down. I think he will be the highest rated player in the state for 2028. He looked like a man against boys out there.

Not enough kids to draw from to be “consistently” good.

Problem with North Corbin most of the really good kids leave for other schools outside of Walker.

Not sure who that is honestly. And I’m Walker thru and thru.
Only baseball player I’ve known to leave that’s worth anything is the Washington kid that went to Live Oak.

As someone who attended Live Oak and played football there, I can confirm this.
