There are a lot of kids around this area that could play Elite. They choose to stay with their “family”. There are two kids at least on each high end AAA or Major travel team that would do very well in select elite.

There are a bunch over in BR area like that. BR teams don’t have to travel to play top end teams, at least in that class(2031)

So your talk g about this past years 14u, correct ? (If he was 12u 2 years ago)

We played majors since 10u, son is a freshman now (14u last year). And real majors…. PG super NITs (BR, Houston, Beaumont,Southaven)

If so, there is no Tanner S. That is even remotely close to the best guy in that class. 2028 or 2029. Trust me

yea i mean Tanner Conley from Foutainbleu is only tanner in top 25 for 2028, 2029 hasnt come out yet for PBR but there was no tanner s invited to the 14u national showcase nor any Tanner S that was on the PBR future games team

im assuming he is talking about Tanner Schexnaydre from velogold who is 2030 kid. He is very good, top 10 player in that class and 2d player of the year for that class, but also understand because of his age he was playing as an 11u kid in LL at the time and was 12u for ll.

Point is, he is a great player and proves my point, the best kids are playing travel and you will see a few here and there join at 12u LL year just to try and make a run.

Delatte still has the organization. Palermo has 12U Black, Winn has 12U Red.

yea delatte had 12u black this past year, they are going to 13u now though as the season reset aug 15. They have a pretty good team. Them, Chalmette Reign and Carrolton's best team are all pretty good from NOLA metro. Maybe it changes some this year going to 13u but for some reason NOLA lacks quality Majors teams in that age group. BR area is freaking stacked in that 2031 class. Stupid how many legit teams there are over there in that class compared to other age groups

Odd bc there weren’t that many top tier teams in the 2029 class - 14u last year.

Traction, Louisiana Nationals. Pelicans…
That was about it. No one from NOLA area

There is an 11u kid throwing 74-77 from the area. I think we see him in LL next year. Just a hunch tho.

And with this comes the watered down travel system. It’s so easy to field a team and play a tourney each weekend where you may travel an hour tops. Too many teams in an area is detrimental to the rec systems. Have to stop those AA daddy ball teams from forming. Limit the top travel ball teams.

who cares about rec? if the kids dont want to play it...maybe look at the system itself

now i do agree by 12 or 13 for sure, AA ball should go away but maybe there is a reason people dont want to play rec

and the teams I was speaking over are all majors teams. IMO if you arent majors by 12 not really that good anyways.

and how the hell are you going to limit it? you gonna pass a law

such a stupid take. its a free market, let supply and demand determine it.

Your statement would be true if the this was driven by the kids' best interest. It's not; making money is at the root of it.

You’ve bashed rec and LL from the start. Obviously something happened with your kid(s) during your time with it. No reason discussing something you want to argue.

Actually those little daddy ball teams don’t make any money from it. It’s so their kid plays short. But absolutely it SHOULD start with the kids best interest.
