Basketball- Amos "Iceman" Foster from White Castle class of '84.
Football/Baseball - Spencer Harvey from Donaldsonville
Football - Van Thomas - Donaldsonville, one brother played at LSU and the other at Tulane. He was a better athlete.

I thought he had a scholarship to Grambling, not Clemson. Boone was the only one to Clemson.

Who was the running back from Independence before Toefield that had a single digit ACT score

That was Darren Brister. ULL got him.

On that note Antron Seiber from Independence would have been a great weapon for LSU had he went to college.

It was Joe Harris from Independence. He was a great RB. We played them in the semis that year and he actually broke his leg in that game. I'm not sure what his ACT score or his grades were, but I'm sure that injury had something to do with it as well.

The town of Cecilia still can't be mentioned in Independence 15 years later!

I played baseball against him growing up.

He was an absolute freak athlete. But he ended up having a few kids and I think he got in trouble with the law a couple times and it led him down the wrong path.

Played against that dude. After the season he got caught with cocaine in his locker.

Yeh drugs and grades stopped him from going somewhere he was a special type of back.

I was at walker when he got arrested. He had stolen stereo equipment in his car. Tennesse pulles the scholly. Later he had an offer to Southwest CC until he got arrested for robbing Church's Chicken where he was working at the time.

I opened this thread expecting to know none of the people in here. However, I see lots of love for the Baton Rouge area early 90's players. I remember lots of these guys.

Byron Robertson broke the LA scoring record and was Mr. Football from St Thomas Aquinas, never stepped foot on a college campus.
