I had never seen him play until now, just watch the playoff game vs John E he can really throw the football his throws were right on. He may be the sleeper in this class
It's his decision making, and the ability to get rid of the ball quickly, on target that caught my attention. He's got 3D vision of the field, and can process information quickly.

I think he's a more accurate version of Mike Vick. Rocket arm and quick feet. The young man is obviously extremely intelligent, imagine Peyton Manning with M. Vick athleticism and arm.

What I saw on a few plays from his video is that he keeps his eyes down field. Yes, obviously he is a great athlete and can run well with good vision. However, a QB that can keep his eyes down field and make the play with his arm is a huge ability that can make a good mobile QB a great QB.

With QB depth, Scott can redshirt and learn for 2 years behind harris/ettling.
Once they leave biggest competition will probably be Narcisse. If it doesn't work out then he can either switch position or transfer to smaller school to play QB.
Obviously this guy wanted the LSU opportunity and is confident enough to come in and at least compete for job. If he's good enough he will succeed and lead this team. Size doesn't matter. He's a bigger than Herb Tyler who played SEC QB and is a better passer.

An upgrade over Franks. We'll be better in the end.
Welcome Lindsey!
An upgrade in your opinion? I mean not in the opinion of our coaches or anyone else really.
Franks may have a higher ceiling(that's why he's rated so high), but he's far from a sure thing. Franks has great measurables and a cannon, but so have countless amounts of busts in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if Scott turned out to be the better college QB. Scott has a good arm, accuracy, good mechanics, speed, intelligence, and is a good leader. He's not the tallest, but he's tall enough. He has no glaring weaknesses.

I like this. Kid is smart, athletic, and a game manager. If the only knock on this kid is he is 5'-11", I like our future QB situation.

He's nothing like Mike Vick. If anyone is like Mike Vick it's Lowell.
Although others may disagree, I think Russell Wilson is a better comparison. Not just height, but in high school film. They are both great at looking over their reads, they both utilize the pump fake, both run well enough and both have nice accuracy short-medium. Both are gamers and intelligent quarterbacks. Scott is not as fast as I would prefer, but he more than makes up for it with his instincts. He still runs well though. He seems like a natural, which is something we have been missing.
Lowell Narcisse is a lefty like Mike Vick and much more of a running athlete like Vick. He has fast acceleration and really makes guys miss. He also has the potential of a strong arm. I still don't know if I would use this comparison though. He's 6'3 and is strong running over guys kind of like how Cam is.

No.
People who boost expectations for kids far beyond that which anyone can reasonably expect are the worst. And when they fail to meet those unreasonable expectations they will be booed by fans, like most of our recent QB's .
That's not to mention the posts where people invent their own facts, like Scott rejecting a 'full ride" at Harvard.
This is a gritty underdog recruit for a D-1 team, and I suspect he likes it that way. Given a chance, he may prove he belongs.

I'd take the boosted expectations of a kid who by all accounts is smart, can make reads, has decent technique, and a strong will as opposed to the boosted expectations of a kid who has great measurables and a huge arm, but can't hit the broadside of a barn and seems afraid of competition.
Last thing LSU needs is a huge project... get the one who can get the talent the ball. I think they got the right one. Time will tell.

I could not have said it better. The guys who are downvoting you now are the same ones who ejaculated all this hyperbole about Harris two years ago, then booed him last season

Harris is actually a lot like Franks coming out of high school. Around the same ranking and also the same strengths. Harris & Scott are very different qb's. That being said, UF will be lucky if Franks is as good as Harris is.

You're still riding that train huh? If Harvard had genuine interest they were saying he chose LSU over their interest. What's so hard to understand about that? Did they choose poor words? Of course but I'm sure you get the premise.

Nofacts,
its not a matter of choice of words.
It appears to be a case of invention of facts.
And, yes, fact vs fiction is the train I am still riding...
