Bruno Fernando
Would either be a great lounge singer or wise guy.
Both are CB'd to FSU. Leonard Hamilton has long been the Johnny Jones of the ACC. He's a guy who always seems to be able to get ridiculous athletes to join his squad. Yet, his results are always up and down. Hamilton's teams are equally capable of blowing out the best teams in the country as they are of losing to a complete bottom-feeder.

Ok, let's talk. Is this incoming class considered disappointing? Last I checked, we were like 65th place in recruiting rankings with three 3* recruits.

I was wondering that too. I guess anything compared to last year is going to disappoint us.
I think CJJ and the team need to not only get in the tourney but win a couple of games too, bc if not, he will be one of the easiest coaches to recruit against with the talent we have on this roster.

2016 class is pretty full already so I doubt we have room for anybody else much less Fernando.
As for Knox we'll be up against some major programs for him.

Kevin Knox will be a 1 in 100 chance of getting. Duke & Unc after him.

The Aussie kid in this class is gonna be a good one.

Isn't Knox on the same AAU team that Simmons and Blakeny was on?

Issue with this recruiting class is that it won't be ranked high (not an issue). You've got a 6'4 PG and 6'6 F from Baton Rouge coming in. Two very good program guys who aren't super highly ranked.
You've got the Australian who isn't in rankings.
Two JUCO's who aren't in rankings but are two of the top JUCO's in the country. Both will be ready to play, one is a perimeter player (1-3) who can defend. Other is a very, very good two way 6'10 big man. Inside and out, block shots.

I think think the '16 class is pretty full up. Need to start thinking '17

From an immediate impact standpoint - yes. We simply missed on every big time target we were after. But this is a class full of 4 year players (well obviously outside the JUCOs). Which if you want to look at a school like Oklahoma or South Carolina, they are good right now because they are chock full of seniors and juniors starting that have logged significant minutes the last few years.
Mays is about as good as they come as a pure PG. He is an elite ball handler/passer and can drive to the rim. Biggest weakness is probably shooting, but, that's why he's a PG, not a SG, although I'm sure Johnny will treat him as a 1 and 2 because he likes positionless guards.
Sims was Mr. Basketball in Louisiana. He's got a lot of fight in him and just produces. A big knock against him is people feel like he's a 6'5-6'6 PF. So like Brian Bridgewater in a way, but he's already been working on a jump shot and perimeter game so hopefully he doesnt end up like Bridgewater and is more polished when he gets here. He wont be bullying around guys that are 6'8-6'10 in college so a jump shot is absolutely vital.
Hayward to me is a boom or bust type of guy. Another aussie prospect who is as athletic as they come. He can really dunk it. An australian site ranked him #8 or #9 among Aussie basketball players for this upcoming class (including Aussies playing in america like Thon Maker). So that's positive.
The two juco guys to me will be at best solid contributors, not stars. Reath is a rebounder shot blocker with a better all around offensive game than say a John Odo. Jenkins is an athletic 2-guard that struggles form 3 a bit but is an overall good player. Neither will be superstars but can help soften the blow next year losing what we do in Gray, Hornsby and Simmons.
I think the staff wants to add another big in this class because they see the writing on the wall with Malone and ER III.

Thanks, that's good info, and exactly what I was looking for.

Can't say I agree there. Reath has hit threes with pretty good consistency and while Jenkins struggles from outside, he does absolutely everything else where. As a team who doesn't have many guys who can get to rim off the bounce well, he'll be crucial assuming TQ is gone. Can play some 1 which they will need as well.

no offense man, but that's kinda just what i said. Reath has a good all around offensive game and Jenkins is an all-rounder that struggles to shoot.

All good but better offensive game than John Odo ain't saying much. Only that he can catch it 50% of the time. Haha
