I spoke with Fournette at the recent AUG P&G scrimmage and he stated 6'2 228lbs and still would like to grow more mass as long as it doesn't hamper his speed...

Slight hijack but on topic......

Considering this is a Bama/LSU battle for yet another elite NOLA prospect, and the reason both are so tuned in to that area are BB and FW, wouldn't any staff containing both be able to lock down the crescent city for any team?

I was almost spot on then. I saw him in Orlando last week and posted that he appeared about 6'2 225.

Dude is the size of our backs right now.

Looks like Bama is out the picture if he wants to be a pure RB...

He's probably out of the picture because we're taking three RB's this year and Bo Scarborough from Tuscaloosa will be our big RB recruit for 2014.

Yes, he's a sophomore in high school.

I've seen Fournette play a few times though and he is the real deal. LSU and Bama are getting freak RB's in '14 it looks like.

I would say both at LSU could lock down NOLA, but not at an out of state school. That's just tough to do. You always have kids in your own state or near by base that you can't abandon and you start to run out of room quick. Even in the 80's and 90's when LSU was a non factor pretty much in NOLA, top kids were going to various OOS schools: Nebraska, Miami, Michigan etc. Tough to get a pipeline from another state year after year, especially if its farther away. Obviously they would pull some top kids if they were together at an elite program OOS.

Bo Scarborough

Just watched his film. Dude is a beast, no doubt about that. He could easily be a 5 star

Edit: He is a 5 star, probably going to be the number 1 overall athlete next year. Reminds me of Darren McFadden. Has great hands too.

Man, the instate talent next year is as good as 2011. Easily 3 or 4 top 40 guys, and 3 really good wr's.

Hopefully the Karr defense won't hurt him again in the Jamboree Gerald Willis broke his coller bone last year and he had to sit out for a few games but I can't wait to see that game.

It'll be at Gormley... Get there early... Not sure where the ESJ scrimmage is yet... But it'll be played a week before the Karr Jam...

Nah, he caught a screen pass on the left/weak side of the O and Darrian Dyson #95 wrapped him up by the ankles and 2 other Karr defenders hit him high... He just fell awkward and dislocated his shoulder... Fournette came right back in after the next play and broke free for a few yards... Coach took him out afterwards... He only missed 1 game(McD35) and came back banged up ready to play...

Nice video-preview from Barton Simmons of the best players for 2014. Fournette and Scarborough are on it, as well as Cameron Robinson.

Posting it in the 2014 thread too.

How do the alumni feel about Aug having a female running the school for the first time in history? I heard it on the radio yesterday, so I apologize if that's inaccurate.

I don't have a problem with it bc her job is not to run the day to day operations for the school. That's the principals job. As long as she does her job and that's mainly raising funds for the school then im cool with it.

That's part of the reason I asked, because I wasn't sure exactly what her role would be.
