IMO, he's earned that right... his recruiting speaks for itself, and i personally think the job he did at USC when it was thrusted upon his shoulders was great... i don't think he gets a shot at HC at a big name school, w/o being a DC first, but he would have a chance to be a HC at a smaller school for sure, if he wants it...

Yea, IMO he should absolutely take a chance at DC at a school like LSU that is loaded with talent to show he is capable of another chance at HC. It just depends on if he wants to make that step.

Mike Farrel tweeted that he is hearing Phillips to LSU and that he and Amadi are a package deal. Exactly, what Amadi said. Looks good for us! And he is a big time player filling a big time need

Great news. Both are solid players and getting them committed might reverse the panic until the DC position gets filled.

Yes, it looked like LSU had a great chance to land a commitment from Phillips, but now those chances are probably slim to none.
Hopefully, a few of those highly regarded late committing defensive linemen will still pick LSU, maybe even the other Tennessee DL prospect.

There's talk of Haley leaving still, but I think Phillips is confident that whoever LSU gets will be great.
