I believe Mettenberger is more important than whether they fire Miles. Rivers will not start next year, so unless they sign Mettenberger, you are undoubtedly looking at the same two headed monster at QB next season.

Still, it goes on to say he's unlikely to decommit at this point.

But it could only ease a lot of concerns to grab Mett, Brissett, or C. Jones; or any combination of the three.

He's not going anywhere, he was just speaking to the context of the article. Hell, the guy is trying to graduate early. Also, look at what you're linking. They are an absolute joke when it comes to any sports, and I wouldn't doubt for a second if they changed the wording of some of his quotes.

He's an LSU Tiger through and through

Julio Jones has been a bust at Bama
His NFL stock is not very high right now
Saban won't throw him the ball

But, honestly, if JLee starts and plays well, his opinion could change. ALso changes if Mett comes and we hire a new OC.

True- JL could change everything over the next few weeks with some 150-200 yard passing games. We all know Miles is loyal to his staff, but you would have to think that Crowton is gone after this season. Not to mention, it's not like any recruit is coming to LSU because of Crowton's offense.

guys, Miles must show that being ranked 115th in offense 2 years in a row is unacceptable.

he must make changes. He must start on Saturday with new QB and new OC, which I would be surprised if you don't a lot of change for the UF game

Otherwise, I would send my own son to another school

What we are seeing is total failure.

Landry's comments are honest and real.

I like that...why fake you are happy seeing what we are seeing... Who can be?

Best thing that can happen is some recruits question Miles about the ineptness of JJ and this offense.

That is the only way that anything will change is if recruits say they have seen enough and not willing to bet their future on what they have seen from LSU's offense the past couple of years.

One thing these kids know is why its happening. They talk to other kids on the team. Wilson, Gonzalez and Crowton know whats up as well. Miles and Studrawa want to control the game the way they want. Problem is, the dont do it very well.

LSU lost two stud receivers last year. NO reason to doubt there will be some balking from potential receiver recruits this year.

A thousand times this.

At a minimum, LSU MUST:

1) Get rid of Crowton...the sooner, the better. I would not even wait until the end of the season. Turn over playcalling to Gonzalez.

2) Hire a very good QB coach. If Gonzalez flubs calling, make the new QB coach OC.

3) Get a commitment from another really good QB.

Otherwise, the doubts of wanting to play in what we call an offense will increase among the recruits to the point where the damage may be too much to overcome.

Why even bring them into it? Bama's signed 3 WR's already including one Louisiana prospect that may be better than him.
