As long as we don’t lose Howard and land Campbell we will be in great shape.

Howard is a franchise QB.

We can get away with offering/receiving only 22 commits next year and be fine with the 81 sanction.

Why would we lose Howard?

The 4 scholarships taken away are towards the 85 total scholarship limit. It does not at this affect the 25 possible limit per year. Therefore.... if we finish this year with 25 we can still sign 25 next year. If we sign 24 next year we can sign 26 next year as long as 1 is an early enrollee. If we sign 23 this year we can sign 27 next year as long as 2 are early enrollees. If we sign the 22 we currently have this year we can sign 28 next year as long as 3 are wary enrollees.

If there is another OL we want this year we will sign him big Davis or BTJ want to come we will take them. If not those spots will be used next year for a deep class. Or it’s possible we don’t fill all the spots next year which can then be carried over the following year.

Regardless of what happens this year we at this point in time unless the ncaa changes or penalizes us further we can sign a minimum of 25 recruits next year.

The only other way we don’t is if we are over the 81 self imposed limit. Which in that case more than likely guys on the team currently will be asked to look else where in the transfer portal more likely than not signing a top prospect. But with the way the numbers are working out I wouldn’t expect to be over the 81 limit any of the years that self imposed penalty applies.

I agree. And you can argue that the 2017 is what gave us 2019.

If you look at Bama the last 2 years their core top guys were from LA. Which is incredible.
