is he as good as advertised? I saw Catholic play Acadiana in last years 5A state quartefinals, and I remember just watching small linemen just blow him off the ball. A couple of months pass, and I heard he committed to stanford. I know hes a smart kid, but top level D1 talent isnt what I saw on display that day (maybe he just had a really bad game).

Now I see that he was a 2nd team all-district performer in a relatively weak district. Is he a "potential"player (he is pretty athletic for his size), or is stanford totally missing the boat on this kid? The last two catholic stanford players, Jeremy Stewart and Brandon Harrison, had legitimate SEC talent. And they were brillant.

they've been plucking kids from Louisiana for a while now.

And I doubt he'd have an offer from them if he were only D2 material. They obviously see something worthwhile in him.

Didn't have a lot of help this year with a small, undersized group around him. One of the worst Catholic defenses is some time

Its high school football, he should stand out no matter what. He is bigger than everyone he goes up against.

ITs a growing trend that each catholic defense is the worst in some time.

Standford has taken some guys from CHS in the past. Probably just trying to keep the ties going. Didn't seem special to me.

Stanford recruits the hell out of Catholic High. I agree that this is just another way for them to keep their foot in the door. It'll be a whole new cast next year for Catholic High with Zack Oliver and his senior class leaving, so they may just be trying to keep ties for the future.

I feel your concerns on wheter or not he is as good as advertised. I had the same concern. However, his performance in the Acadiana game was bad probably because he played with a hip pointer and hamstring injuries that he recieved in the comeaux game the week before.I was suprised he played. And then he came back and had 7 or 8 tackles vs West Monroe the following week. It seems to me he plays to the level of his opponent. My take on the kid is he is a big athletic kid who hasn't played the game long. He needs to get stronger and become more consistent if he wants to see the field in college. If Lance does what he needs to do to improve as a player, he will be a big force at the next level. The worst thing that can happen is they move him to offensive guard and think at that position, I think he will be the one of the most athletic guards in the nation.

I knew someone was going to ask that. But no, I am not. I just figured out this thing works the other day and I just so happen to come across this post. I do not know all of these kids that you all talk about so I can't really make judgement on them. Most of the time yall take the words out of my mouth so I don't feel the need to repeat. But I do know about this kid.

This was your first post on TD. In the Nation...really? Let's keep ourselves in check a little.

Just because I do not post on TD doesn't mean I do not now anything about football and high school athletes. Most of the people who post on here are retarded and do not know anything. But I enjoy reading the post to get inside scoops on some kids. The dumb post just give me something to talk about at work.
