Tigerbait article seems to imply that we have turned up the heat on him with Pratt decomitting. Thoughts?

My thought is the others in this thread don't know what they are talking about.

To think we have not been on Lacy until late is silly.

We've been on Lacy for a loooooooooooooooooong time with the same message: Get your grades straight, get your grades straight.

If he does finally have his grades straight and THEN we give him a committable offer, that does not mean that we "got on him late".

Lacy was a long shot to qualify, and despite what his coach said recently, he still is. Had a 2.0 enter senior year...means he needed to makes straight A's both semesters to pull it up to a 2.5...don't see that happening.

Didn't he have off the field "issues" as well (outside of poor grades)?

At any rate, why bother with him? Michael wanted to come here and we should be throwing everything at him right now if we want another RB. Trent is probably coming here to recruit Randle to Bama.

i have lots of friends that go to Dutchtown and they all say the same thing, that he wants to go to LSU.

i just dont think that LSU really wants him because of grades and bad conduct.

At the end of the article Lacy said he knows what he wants to do if he gets his grades up. Sounds like he wants to go to LSU.

the rape thing is BS. he just has a really poor work ethic. He carries himself like Perrilloux did.

Negative. He fails. Maybe if he was a better student he could have had the oppurtunity to play for LSU. Now he can settle on Bama. We are LSU. We will live.

its really amazing that someone like lacy who can barely make a 2.0 at dutchtown could breeze through lsu if he were to indeed make it in...tells you how worhtless football player degrees actually are

This is absolutely true. Take a look at the number of kids that Saban signed last year that did not qualify. Saban will sign anything that can hold a football, not Miles.

Despite his ranking, I don't think he is a step down from Richardson. I think they will have similar college careers. I think his "issues" and being hurt this year prevented him from being and ELITE recruit. His off the field issues are not as big as people are making them out to be. He does have an attitude problem and poor motivation though.
