Wish him well and move on. His stock tumbled at all-star game. Let's get behind Ridley, Ford, Ware, Gore, Hilliard etc. If possible we need to get a DT and another wideout.

We've been getting dominated in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Losing a skill position player even as good as Lache should be least of our concerns.

staff wasted much effort recruiting this kid and refused multiple commitments banking on him. huge loss from a recruiting standpoint. he will be a great college player unfortunately.

How do you know how much time the staff spent recruiting him? I never did think that we would get him. By the way, did Texas or Oklahoma really recruit him?

I would have like to have seen him on the LSU team, but I don't think he brings anything to the table that Sheppard already does. In addition, it is obvious that Ware is going to be the gem of this class at RB and no Lache. And...with all the running backs coming in for 2010 and 2011, he would have been lost in the depth chart until Shep left. I think this was obvious to him.

I agree with this to the letter.

I don't blame him at all. That offense is perfect for his skill set and Kelly is a great offensive coach.

Texas was one of his early favorites, but then he went and got a "street agent" and Mack pulled his offer. Or so the so called "insiders" claim.

I don't blame him at all either. He would have took a beating vs the hard hitting sec defenses. He will do better and hold up longer in the pac 10. You have to have a set to want to play RB in the SEC !

We did? shite I'm way out of the loop here. What multiple commitments did we refuse waiting on Lache?

That's not true. That's their story and they are sticking to it. Let's just say I found out how they get to recruit kids before Sept 1st of said recruits JR year.

Texas fans claim almost every kid they don't get has a street agent.

Finally!! The Lache drama is over & we can move on!! He became less & less important as a 'need' to us, & now we don't have to hold a scholly until signing day in case he decided to come to LSU. I wish him well at Oregon, but again, let's close the book on someone not coming to LSU, & start thinking about who we will get in his place...
