LA Recruits loss LIST
Posted on 12/17/08 at 5:45 pm

Here are some of the Louisiana recruits LSU has lost in the last couple of years. The 2007 recruiting season was the worst year recently for LA recruits to not sign at LSU or any other state school. I wanted to post this because I have been curious of how many big prospects in LA have gone to out of state schools in the last couple of years. Please feel free to add a name that might should be on the list.

Why would you put Randall on the list?

in 2007 we had like 18 four star players.

I put him as a ? mark. Because he could go to an out of state school. He's really the only big LA prospect this year that might go.

because he wanted to start another Randle thread, just in a different way.

Ahmad Paige.....something was odd with him and Jimbo Fisher. Didnt have LSU on his list and committed to FLa St. When Fisher was named OC he decommited and went to TENN.. So I chalk that one up to Fisher. Havent heard crap from him since so prob a good thing he didnt come.

How many 4 and 5 * players has Texas lost to LSU? Please list them. Also please list the Florida guys also.
The idea that we have to get every 4 + star guy in Louisiana and also the idea that EVERY 4 + star guy IN LA 'wants' to stay in state is silly.

LSU would have only taken 1 or 2 of those guys. It's not like we "missed" with them.

Lucas the receiver from Tennessee was a bigger miss than Paige, but neither one would see much if any playing time here.

How many of those guys did y'all actually go after?

We never offered Brown, Harris, or Mauti, we may have offered Alexander very late but I dont think we did. I'm pretty sure we didnt really recruit Paige all that much. I think it should be a list of "guys LSU passed on that may have some success at other big schools"

Outside of McKnight and Luther Davis, I think this thread is retarded.

Ahmad Paige never had an LSU offer, as I recall, and many on here moaned about it. He got busted with a UT recruit during a visit for pot before this season, didn't he? Has he seen the field for Tennessee? I haven't heard boo out of him except for the arrest.
Mauti was a Penn State lock - didn't his dad play there? He was never going anywhere but Penn State.
Nic Harris wasn't pursued very hard by LSU as I recall. Was that Miles or Saban? In any event have to chalk that up as a miss.
Luther Davis has been well chronicled here. Believe what you like about that one.
Chris Brown - LSU got equally (or higher) rated Richard Murphy, Charles Scott, and Keiland Williams. You only have so many spots in each class.

Both, it was the transition year and neither of them took a real hard look at him
