Looks like he's having a solid season so far for UCLA. I would go as far as to say out of all of the recruits we've missed out on in the last few years, he might be the most important right now. Garrett left, Beckwith is likely a first or second rounder after this year, and we are left thin.

It hurts to see, but I am glad he is performing well.

Chavis didn't want to offer him.

Kenny Young was a key miss for Chavis. Would have had no gap between Beckwith and him, now we may have to start a true freshman next year.

He would be getting groomed right now to be the starter for next year which would be huge.

Huge miss for us. We basically went all in for Garrett and let a future all conference player go to UCLA. He may have ended up there ultimately regardless, but we slow-played him for sure. Dude was an animal against St. Aug in that ESPN game and made multiple one-on-one tackles against Fournette.

Still, CRob is the biggest recruit we've missed on from a sheer talent standpoint. Never a good thing to let a future top 5 pick leave the state

Was going to say him or Speedy are the two most recent misses on just talent alone. Luckily Grimes pulled off that O-line class last year that will hopefully make us forget about missing on CRob.

Speedy isnt too happy at A&M right now, a true freshman passed him up.

I am not sure about the being groomed comment. He actually may have been starting next to Beckwith this season. Either at Strong or Weakside, then move to MLB after Beckwith leaves. He is so talented and may be just as fast as Debo but is 240lbs. Huge miss by Chavis and one of his many dumb personnel decisions. What about Melvin Jones? He would be a stud but he was too big and was moved to full back. He was more athletic then Beckwith coming out of HS. Remember he also didn't think Beckwith was good enough and moved him to DE.

I would love to think he would be getting lots of PT this season. Would be nice to have Beckwith, Young, and Debo as our three guys, especially with how good Debo looked vs Miss State

Malik Jefferson would be nice too. Had a great game last week. 9 tackles, a fumble return for a touchdown.

Hopefully we can pull off getting Rassahn Smith. Would be tight.

I was just going to come here or to MSB to ask how he was doing. Him, Adoree, and Tony Brown are the three that I wish we would have gotten out of everyone else.

Yeah, LSU needs a slot WR that can't run routes

Malachi is and will be a much better WR than Speedy in college and in the pros

Speedy would be wasting away at LSU.
