you probably haven't ever run a company...or been in a leadership role where you have to create change

The recruiter ranking say otherwise.

In last couple of yrs it seems Corey missed out on primary targets more than hes secured them.

Looked at 247 recruiter recruiter rankings from 2013 forward. Heres his numbers:

2022 - 30th in SEC, 82nd nationally

2021 - 28 SEC, 70 nationally

2020 - 6 SEC, 14 nationally

2019 - 7 SEC, 13 nationally

2018 - 19 SEC, 52 nationally

2017 - 32 SEC, 76 nationally

2016 - 5 SEC, 87 nationally

2015 - 37 SEC, 81 nationally

2014 - 5 SEC, 6 nationally

2013 - 27 SEC, 58 nationally

Only 1 of those yrs, 2020, was he the highest rated recruiter on LSU's staff.

Hey man, stop that. That doesn't fit the narrative here.

Sometimes I really wonder what the hell some of these folks are smoking?

Ah yes, the magic of getting a guy on a visit only to watch him commit to Georgia.

And 2020 wasn’t hard to recruit as all these kids wanted to come here off the NC season

Let me help you to understand why Raymond is no longer at LSU. Have you seen his db’s the last two years?!? Brian Kelly evaluated his performance from the last two years and cut bait. Pretty simple.

Pump the brakes. He is not and has never been the best in the country. He's been near the top a year or two when LA was pretty stacked, but this is just revisionist history.

Recruiting is about more than stars. It’s identifying and evaluating guys with certain attributes and potential to be unlocked and Corey is beyond elite at that.

You can talk about the culture change and he needed to go and all that nonsense, but as a coach/recruiter, he is one of the tops.

For every Flott/McGlothern there is an Ed Paris/Kevin Tolliver on Corey's list of recruits.

I think he is a good coach. I don't think he is a great coach. I think he is a great recruiter. I don't think he is an elite recruiter.

The problem on this board right now, is a large contingent of fans saw CR heading to Florida and acted like LSU is now going to go down in flames, which isn't the case. I think most fans would have been happy to keep CR on staff, but the main person who makes that decision didn't think CR was the right person for that job on this staff for whatever reason. The reality is CR will be fine at Florida and do what he is supposed to do and get paid. LSU and CBK will move forward and do what their supposed to do and be fine.

I've started a couple threads about LSU struggling to get the top DBs the past few years. I even stated that I loved the effort of Flott and others, but why were we getting guys who couldn't really play SEC football for years (Flott came in at about 150 pounds). My Gosh, I got downvoted, beaten up, etc. But, unfortunately I was correct in my assessment. He needed to go so we can regain our DBU level of recruitment and development...

Pretty even trade-off IMO when we got Frank Wilson.

Raymond was "ok" as a coach, not great.

You think the culture doesn’t need an overhaul ? I knew you loved Orgeron more than LSU but damn

Are you spending hours a day with BK? Do you know what went into His decision of cutting him when you have no specific details or 1st hand knowledge of the whys of this decision? This is such a silly statement.

Are you an LSU fan or actually a USL fan pissed off because LSU didn't want Billy Napier?

Says you. A nobody on a message board. I'll trust the actual head coach who has been in the business 40 years.
The ego on you. Amazing.
