In terms of how we finish this class, I think we will land Boone with a good visit in two weeks.

Adding that to my predicions that I've mentioned:

Ego
2 of Reed/Wright/Fobbs/Boone
Lache (kind of out on a limb)

Think we add 3-4 more.

P.S. I know there is a thread about Boone right below but that turned into a pissing contest about combine 40 times and Josh Reed etc. I'm just talking about the fact that I think we can lock Boone up with a good visit.

In terms of what that means for Reed, I think we push for Reed and we would still take him and Boone possibly. I think the odd one out would be Fobbs unfortunately. Think we're pushing uphill on Reed but Wilson could work his magic if we get him in for a visit.

Considering that the instate talant this year is not as good as last year or next year, I think this class could be called an epic success if we pull in the guys you mentioned. Getting Ego would be huge!!

I like Boone better than all the WR's from LA.

Fobbs may have screwed himself by taking too long to flip.

I haven't seen Wright's hightlights...how do they compare?

Hunter?

I am pretty sure he is better than Reed...from what I remember.. Reed is a good, but I don't see the explosiveness

Reed would still be a great pick-up,and I really like him at corner. Boone has the size to go over the middle. I still want Wright.

I think Wright will be the best receiver out of the LA three.

reed is one of the more underrated players in the nation. the kid catches everything and i have really never seen anyone keep up with him.

he has an amazing ability of finding holes in the defense. he always seems to be open. so quick in and out of his routes. however, he would be a ridiculous corner.

i said the same thing about joe mcknight. he could be a good rb or a shutdown corner. mcknight chose rb....probably not his best choice.

i think reed would be a more effective cb for LSU. especially with the way we are looking to develop shep. still i know he's looking to play receiver. more value in getting reed. either way he'll find a way on the field.

don't think boone gives us that value.

Boone seems like a gamer. May not be a combine freak but will outwill/outeffort his opponent.

#5 WR, #37 Overall?

I respectfully disagree.

I like Reed and would take him in a second because I think he is a gifted athlete with good speed and great hands. Still, after watching him play this past year, I believe his physical game is lacking. He has a finesse style and he may have a problem going against SEC CBs and Ss from a physical standpoint. He can outrun just about anyone in high school but he will not be able to do that in the SEC. I think Wright and Boone have a physical advantage.

Again, I would love to have any of them: Reed, Wright, Fobbs, Boone.

don't rule out Ambles either. After Davis jumped ship he and his old man seemed to be pretty open and wanting to check out LSU.

Don't think I want Ambles. The term "character issues" is loosely thrown around here but I think it may justifiably apply to him.

I am not condoning bad character but too often repetition on the message boards/water-coolers/bars, without any substantiation, becomes the main source of information.

Do we really know about these character issues first hand? Even if there are issues - can't there be a second chance given to an 18 year old? Surely not all of these kids become a cancer within the team.

Apparently substantial enough for Georgia to back off and during the summer UF and USC and a host of other premiere college programs backed off as well mysteriously.

That said, wouldn't mind him being at LSU.
