Idk if our safeties would start for Miss State or Purdue. People crapping on Baker and the defensive staff are turning a blind eye to the fact that this may be one of the least talented lsu defenses from a personnel standpoint of all time.

I do agree with this. Sage Ryan and major burns have been through multiple staffs and still underperform.
That usually means it's not a coaching issue. Lsu just has to hit on these recruits from 2024/2025 classes and really supplement from the portal. Kelly needs to switch up his strategy as far as the portal goes.
Either he is stubborn or he overestimated his team's talent level. He went into the yr with burns and Sage as his starters. So he knows how they play.

He got burned in the portal by guys like Denver Harris. It's stubborn. LSU spent their money around roster retention and HS recruiting. That's what BK wanted and that's what he got. Not getting the money's worth on roster retention that's for sure.

I believe he will and he knows he has to. By all accounts, LSU is willing to spend at least 2x the NIL on their roster for next year compared to this season. They should be heavy hitters in the early period when the big names enter the portal. This is the last year before revenue sharing kicks in and you’ll have to spend the money raised in the collective because it can’t be carried over.

And this from a person who happens to agree that Gerry is a good analyst, except when it comes to Texas and their hopeful recruits. Then he loses all credibility. Included in that is stalking recruits at the airport because Sark doesn't allow him access to the football facility. Typical, expected behavior from the Longhorn faithful.

Ha this is a straight up fabrication. Bobby was tired of Nahlin and Wells not carrying their weight. He and Gerry are the ones with connections to the program and they didn’t want to share money with Nahlin anymore.
