Expect Kade Phillips to flip from LSU back to Texas....but expect LSU to sign 5-star DJ Pickett, 4-star Aidan Anding and then two portal corners.

When it involves Texas, A&M, Oregon or any other big name school you won’t.

We either dont have the funds or aren’t willing to pay them

Who the coach is won’t matter anymore, the talent level on our roster will continue to drop well below standard and we won’t be able to compete for anything more than 7-9 win seasons.

We need to stop bidding against Texas. When they’re on a recruit just move on early in the process.

We haven’t won one of these yet especially for a non-Louisiana kid

Let’s get a better strategy. Stop bidding against the small handful of teams you 100% know you can’t outbid

As much as I’m growing frustrated with BK, you’re right and that’s exactly why I’m losing interest. If we aren’t gonna take the steps necessary to compete financially then it really doesn’t matter who the coach is.

And that’s just what cfb is now. Show up with a shite ton of money and buy who you want. There’s absolutely no pretense of commitment to a university anymore.

For the people saying “this is exactly how it’s supposed to be…”, yes if it were pro football. But it’s not, so no this isn’t how COLLEGE football is supposed to be.

This model is so ridiculously bad for the sport but so be it. I’ll keep rooting for the LSU uniform. But it’s definitely not the same level of passion for it.

Would love all 3, but if we keep Anding and Pickett we will be in good shape.

Stamps, Pickett, Anding and Woodland would be a nice core to build around at CB.

It can’t be for teams like us.

Those with unlimited funds will buy all the elite talent they want and we’ll be left with leftovers.

I love LSU football, but gone are the days where we will compete for natties if the current trend continues.

We can’t afford the same level of elite talent that these teams can on a consistent basis

I think it’s the latter.

Yep, officially done following recruiting. My interest in college football is dying down also unfortunately.

This shite needs regulations or a cap. Teams with the most money (Oregon, Texas, Miami, Georgia, Michigan) are getting all of the recruits (aside from Georgia) solely because they dish out the most cash.

I used to love to follow recruiting but NIL has ruined it for me. I can't see how ON3, 247, Rivals, etc survive when commitments don't mean anything anymore and it all about who has the biggest checkbook in the final hour.

This is what I was thinking recently as well. The thing is, this is all such new territory. I’m sure our program is learning each year what works best for us. Like one poster said I do believe we are top 10 with our collective but not top five. It is what it is.
