He moves laterally extremely well. He actually played LB in HS, which requires lateral movement and the ability to shed/play off blocks. He looks like the read deal. Information for the kid from Many, his uncle played him at a glorified Safety/Monsterback/Rover type position. Everything was down hill. It’s exactly why the Holly kid made him look bad when they played. If he didn’t hit you running downhill , he would miss you even if you were 2-3 feet either side. He will have a difficult transition to college inside LB where he will have to move laterally and playoff/shed blocks. Not saying he can’t do, but he hasn’t shown that he is capable. Weeks has proven himself capable in every opportunity this far. Will be an interesting career comparison over the next 4 years.

I can tell you that Coach Smart really, REALLY wanted this young man. I'm pretty sure he was defensive MVP at several UG camps and "Friday Night Light" events/7 v 7's. Living in an area that gets a lot of Georgia HS game broadcasts through GPB, I've seen 4-5 Oconee games and this young man is a player. Don't be surprised if he cracks the rotation year one. And don't sleep on his brother Wes who is one heckuva player too~!!

Do you wanna hear something interesting ? …Whit Weeks is the same size as Demario Tolan when he first arrived on campus…Weeks is rated much higher than Tolan was …they’re both early enrollees…and they’re both fast athletic linebackers

I heard the youngest brother Zach is a beast too, 2026 TE. Already leaning LSU

I didn’t realize you could get offers from LSU, Ohio State, and USC and be rated highly by recruiting services cause all of these people are too stupid to realize his coach played him in a hybrid position that made him look good. But you know better. Two of those schools also wanted Weeks.

He has very good instincts. Makes tackles at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield. I am been really impressed by him.
