if they think that was bad, they should hear some of the stuff coaches say at an all boys school. He should fit right in at St Aug. Im sure he has learned his lesson either way

beats what? 3 starters to play on top tier D-1 team in a 7 year span? with 2 bench players?

I could find a bunch.

LE, find me a Louisiana high school that has sent 5 players to LSU over the same time span St. Aug has. The "bench players" you are referring to are RS Freshmen Offensive Linemen. We can call them "bench players" when they are done at LSU and haven't started. I'll wait for your answer.

why does it have to be over the same time period?

that's a 7 year window. of course if you narrow it down to the exact 2005-2012 window it would be as many. Not leaving much wiggle room.

off the top of my head, Id check out West Monroe, breaux bridge, east and west st john, parkview baptist, destrehan, rummel, franklinton, john curtis, hahnville, bastrop, have all sent kids to LSU with more regularity.

Don't fool yourself Saban has his finger on the pulse of the big time H.S.programs in the south, St Aug and others included. Is Crutch his man? Who knows. Saban will do what it takes in the recruiting game. LC was the perfect example. Will it hurt our LSU Tigers? I doubt it. We just can't afford another recruiting violation while we are on probation. I am really hoping little Nicky gets his hand caught in the cookie jar. Fingers crossed!

Well we are talking recent history, I think it is a fair window. You wanted to talk about the early 2000's and time periods when St. Aug was not producing talent, and ignore 70's, 80's, 90's or whatever, so you were being selective towards your argument as much as I was.

All the high schools you mentioned are significant in terms of sending players to LSU. St. Aug is in the same conversation with them, and is more relevant than what you were trying to portray earlier. Not like they are some football factory that makes or breaks LSU, but significant.

St Aug has to prove they can continue putting out players like this. The others do not. That is the difference.

Glad you looked it up because you just made my point for me. Only an idiot would argue that those 3 schools have not been important in terms of sending college talent to LSU, right?

Give me a break dude, St. Aug has a much better pedigree when compared to those schools save for maybe West Monroe. Your initial stance was far too radical, as many of your posts tend to be.

At one point, St. Aug led the nation in # of players in the NFL from a high school.

Dude I was kinda with you on some of your points until you said Crutch is a.professional. You do realize he was fired for asking one of his players if he was screwing a chic, when she walked by them. Yea that sounds so professional

Oh for crying out loud, By professional I just meant its his job, his career, not how he conducts himself. That's why I said professional coach, you know some one that is not an amatuer.

For all I know what you said he was fired for was a one time comment taken out of context, or one of many such comments. I don't know and i don't care. Even if this guy is a pig, I'm gonna go ahead and guess he's more interested in his career and his career is winng FB games, not being Nick Saban's yes man for 1 recruit that's still a freaking soph in HS

It's like many on this board can't believe a St. Aug player might actually want to go to LSU all on his own.

yeah, 10 years ago. I think they have 1 player in the NFL from St Aug right now.james hall

I dont think you realized how far they have fallen. For numerous reasons. Coaching, Katrina, etc.

actually its more like some of them don't think a kid could want to got to Alabama on his own. The same mentality comes out when talking about Nkimdiche, the DE from Ga, whose coach played on Bama's 1992 NC team.
