My HS was just a national spectacle when they fired the FB coach for some pussy players putting a video of him yelling at them in the locker room with vulgarity.

The media for got to mention that the player was already suspended indefinitely, and had a non player friend with him. Both were trespassing and the coach had every right to get upset. That has to be the biggest bunch of pussies walking those hallways right now. They lost the very next game 61-17

Bottom line is, if he is such a big cancer as everyone says then he will burn his own bridges.

Delarge showed it was false so I had the thread deleted. Yet I heard it again from a different source so who knows..

The transfer rumor is no rumor at all. This guy talked about and confirmed that Leonard is strongly looking around.

The main reason is (see if you can follow this)

St aug was supposed to pull a catholic high, but never made good on the promises. $1,400 a month tuition is killing the fournettes. The transfer is not ruled out yet, not at all.

Fwiw it's too late for crutch to influence fournette in his opinion

So he thinks he's all LSU? or if he picks bama it'll have nothing to do with crutch?

It's more like Leonard doesn't care much for crutch. Leonard won't be influenced by him.

The dogfight to land him is just warming up, and will probably spontaneously combust NCAA rulebooks across the country.

He lives like a block away from the school from what I heard.

The way Falkins decided to go there, I assumed they were throwing all kinds of money around over there. I'm sure if Crutch asks the right Bama boosters, they can find the tuition money for kids they really want.

Yeah all Nola catholic archdiocese schools are in the 7000 to 9000 range. Give or take a few schools above or below that range.

I remember my senior tuition in high school was about 5000. That was just in 2005. Tuition continues to climb.

Aug dropped the ball in hiring Crutchfield, IMO.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Crutchfield basically had his greatest (and only?) success at a 1A school beating up on the likes of St. Martin, and benefitted from the consolidation of talent at South Plaquemines following Katrina.

He had good recs, obviously, and St. Aug admins were blinded by that. But ofcourse Saban and Burns are going to recommend a guy who they think will act as their pusher, so you have to take that rec with a grain of salt. Frank Wilson was obligated to recommend Crutchfield as well, simply to save face for LSU with Crutch if he gets hired. It is a bad situation for St Aug if true, and if they lose this season Crutch won't last long in that environment as an outsider if he is pushing his own agenda and not St. Aug's agenda.

On the Bama recruiting thread, they are talking about rumors of Bama telling Falkins to look around. Appears they may have jumped the gun offering him.

I haven't ever been high on Falkins. I'm still trying to figure out why people made a big deal about him when he committed to bama. Other than it was bama because the lsu coaches definitely are not that high on him either.

Exactly why I am disappointed that the New Orleans Archdiocese allowed this hire.

yeah there was some chest pounding over that one, looks like kind of a joke now. It is hard to gauge these early commitments. Falkins is far down the LSU board, and if he ends up at Bama he'll be processed. Bama is a legit threat to LSU in-state recruiting, but it requires them getting on an elite prospect very early in the process and having influence over people who have influence on the recruit, like landon collins and perhaps like fournette. They won't be able to out-evaluate LSU on La prospects simply due to the resources that LSU has in their favor. If LSU is willing to cede a player to Bama without fighting over his commitment, that gives you an idea of where LSU rates him. We still went after LC to the bitter end.
