Yea I understand but I think the Archdiocese will try to stay away from sports matters unless they want another round of media bs.

I don't see them getting involved in sports matters unless some big scandal was unveiled. The archdiocese keeps a close watch on teacher conduct. I know of at a few schools where they found out about some teachers not following the Catholic guidelines outside of school in their private lives and they were fired.

Im sure the athletic coaches aren't looked at as intensely like you said.

He still in the league dog. So what school has consistently put out big time NFL players?

One of the two go to guys for all things St. Augustine as always

So in other words it was the coaches screwing themselves over for speaking out about the hire. I'd fire them too. Get a staff that wants to help you win and not bitch about minor details. Any coach that shows favoritism can be neutralized.

no one really.

there are a lot of high schools that have consistently pumped out top notch recruits. ST Aug has slacked on that, you have to admit. Compared to the top schools in LA

Also find it funny that Lester Earl uses Carnael Ainsworth and Clay Spencer for Park. baptist (never even touched the field, busted out early), Mark Snyder (wtf, this dude went to Brother Martin until his senior year...again never played a down for LSU) and Shomari Clemons from WM, in his examples of "good college prospects" to advance his point, yet dogs on St. Aug for producing "just 3 starters" and two guys who are RS freshmen who "haven't done anything" (Have any of the prospects from Breaux Bridge done anything yet? nope. Guess they shouldn't count either).

you asked me to name schools with the same amount of recruits. you never mentioned the caliber. By allowing the 2 guys from Aug who havent done anything, you allowed me to mention anyone.

and Mark Snyder would not have been an LSU recruit had he stayed at brother martin. He was horrible. he got an offer because of the WM helmet.

Lester everyone is getting frustrated with you because you named 'all' the NFL guys from the last decade or so from St Aug but you never mentioned BJGE but yet you claim to be friends with him?

just because you saw him at a restaurant doesnt mean y'all are friends

The issue of "caliber" was a central point to your argument - otherwise you wouldn't have completely discounted Trai Turner and Jonah Austin, you wouldn't have discounted the amount of St. Aug grads that have seen NFL paychecks from 95-05(regardless of where they went to college). The only way, in your mind, for me to win this argument is if I rattle off a bunch of NFL 1st rounders from St. Aug.

Your initial point was that St. Aug is overrated as a place that produces CFB recruits, and you are wrong on that point both historically and in looking ahead to the future based on the recent output at that school. If the "down period" of a school is a time frame where 6-8 guys got a shot at the NFL, that sounds like a pretty good place from which to recruit. St. Aug is right in the upper tier with WM, Bastrop (now on the decline), Destrehan, Breaux Bridge as a school that LSU needs to have a presence.

Yes, it was, until you mentioned the bench guys at LSU and then asked me to name other schools with that many players sign with LSU. Those are your own words, however you want to twist it.

Seeing that this is an LSU board, I was asking to name some legit D-1 recruits(im pretty sure I have said 'legit' about 12 times in this thread) from those years. You listed an Indiana recruit who no SEC team wanted initially, and 2 guys from TX Southern. It's not even worth arguing with you over. You obviously cannot read.

you didnt even have to name NFL players. I wanted St Aug players that played at a high D-1 level. Raynoch and Irons fit that criteria, and Nat Dosey was a good player at GA tech that probably could have played at LSU. The others, not so much.

yes, of LSU caliber. Learn to read.
