And like we saw with Joe Burrow, sometimes the coaches pick the wrong guy,

I love how people use hindsight to make claims like this. While Joe Burrow was still recovering from breaking a bone in his throwing hand, Haskins came in for injured starter JT Barrett and beat Michigan. The next season he had the inside track to be the starter, where he threw for 4,831 yards 50 TDs and was a Heisman finalist. Sure, Joe became the better QB, but Haskins was 100% the right call at that time.

Kelly needs to get rid of Sloan in the offseason and find an NFL qb coach who has a track record of developing QBs. If we can't get the QB situation nailed down then I don't ever see us winning a title.

Are you not impressed with what he's done with JD?

You should be

Sayin visited Alabama on Oct. 22. LSU held a close lead for his commitment heading into the trip, but the tables turned in Tuscaloosa.

“Before the visit, LSU was kind of leading and then I had the visit,” Sayin told On3. “It was a really great visit.”

Here we are again. Left at the altar with the old "LSU leads" curse.

Not sure why any of you think anything is changing on the recruiting trails with Saban still at Alabama.

Y'all need to wait until at least 2031.

Bama just takes in talent. It’s wild how talented that roster has been for the past 10 years and how it will be for the next 10

What do you know about Sloan prior to his hire? LSU is literally on the verge of landing the 25’ top 2-3 QB and he is likely going to reclassify to 2024, which could have been something or perhaps nothing regarding Sayin…people are downvoting because there’s a lack of knowledge and negativity when it doesn’t warrant it. Rickie Collins flipped and he’s a top ten QB in the class. Sayin had a good dynamic with Sloan and was in the mix, regardless of losing him to Alabama, they were IN the mix. Alabama has literally produced multiple 1st round picks over the past 5-6 years at the QB position. Why wouldn’t he explore that option?

Sloan has been a key recruiter in Sampson, Heard, Collins, Kylin Jackson, etc. He’s doing good work, stop being sour.

Someone won't be. They've got a mass of recruited QB talent. You've got recruits willing to come in despite the depth chart knowing if they don't win they can easily transfer out. So ultimately Saban gets his selection of elite QBs. And it's a struggle for us to land 1.

There are perks that accompany being the GOAT college football coach. Every team in America hates it, except bama but it is what it is.

We will get our guy as well. Have patience

We're not struggling to land 1 QB.

And the portal actually opens up many opportunities to grab a really good QB.

Saban will never retire

Possibly true, but he will drop dead one day. Time never loses. I just hope he hangs on too long like Bear did and at least sees it start to slip away toward the end.

I know I’m petty, but I’m for whatever gets Saban out the door at Bama and hits their reset button.

So far, this staff hasn't proven it can be any better than Les or Orgeron's staff when it comes to recruiting elite quarterbacks nationally. We're 0/2 so far.

You were saying?

Brian Kelly got the # 3 QB in the country for 2019 in Jayden Daniels.

The #6 QB for 2022 Walker Howard.

The #13 QB for 2023 Rickie Collins is committed.

And today the #2 QB Collin Hurley from Florida committed today to LSU.
