Well I just looked at a few of his videos and he's better than I originally thought. The first reel I saw was unimpressive, but I have a better feeling about him than I did before.

In my opinion Josh John's doesn't have the speed necessary to start for an elite team at safety, and speed has been one of our major problems all year on defense.

give me a safety that makes the safe tackle and knows what he is doing over someone that goes for the HR hit every time and someone that doesn't know their assignments.

You cant be talking about Harry Coleman?

This Safety class is going to be crazy IMO... hopefully he's a grey shirt option

Look at our Safety class:

Loston
Janzen (still think he ends up there)

and possibly Myles (kid is from New Orleans originally)

sick class at that position and no need to spring for this kid...he would be nothing more than a special teams player for us

Acording to scout he runs a 4.50.
At LSU's camp scout reported he ran a 4.55 thats fast enough to play safety anywhere!

Is he good enough? but he IS fast enough and big enough to play safety anywhere.

I meant for as program going to the state title just about every year.

I was that game. We scored 14, fumbled on their 1 yard line, and threw an interception in the endzone. Could of at least put 20 if not more. All with our starting QB out.

I fully agree with the statement that Johns is good enough and smart enough to play for LSU,plus he is local and loves the TIGERS. Merry Christmas to all of the TIGER fans.

I think safety is one position where intelligence and instincts can make up for lack of speed. I'm not speaking about Johns as i know nothing about him.

Prom,
What do you think the chances of Johns walking on at LSU are?

Maybe we need someone to call defensive signals. That appeared to be a problem this season.
