And I don't get the issue with being excited at this point. Getting a verbal, while clearly not a guarantee of anything, is still better than not getting one. Noone here has any deluded notions that this means technically anything, but there's a lot to like still that the kid likes the school so much that he's willing to go out on that limb now.
There's also an element of that excitement (for me) that this indicates our brand new staff's ability to make significant relationships quickly having been on the job for less than a year.
So I'll choose to be cautiously excited for these reasons. Everyone else (except you apparently) is doing the same.

While we all sit here and laugh. I wish our fans would stop this dumb shite. Look it’s just an opinion, give your own without trying to shite on the other guy and making it sound like you know more than that guy. It’s childish and so many of y’all do it. Let the guy have his opinion, even if it might sound ridiculous, not everyone thinks from the same frame of mind. Doesn’t make it less or more.
Give yours without crapping on the other. You aren’t superior to anyone here. If the opinion is better and makes more sense after your own is given, then just admit that you weren’t thinking from that angle. It’s not that hard to do.
The joking is fine, but some people actually believe their opinion is some how superior to others or anyones for that matter. That makes you look and seem weak. Instead of being a dick Pernod, you could have just said, I could see him being a real asset on defense, we need someone with his skill set on D. This generates more continuous conversation instead of attempting to shut that other person down with demeaning comments about his opinion. Or y’all can continue to fuss like a bunch of wimps.
