Back in Baton Rouge, Orgeron and staff prepared to host several prospects for the home-opener. These include four-star safety Jalani Williams of St. Louis, Mo., who will be in on an official visit. Other prospects expected in on unofficial visits include most all of LSU’s current commitments, as well as top running back target John Emery of Destrehan and a ton of 2020 prospects.

That has to be a positive right? No matter how you look at it. We need him on campus as much as we can get. While on that subject, unofficial visit can they have contact with coaches and players?

If he’s making an appearance for SLU, you have to think he will be here for UGA and Bama. Could possibly be a visitor for more LSU games than UGA. Always a positive.

Coach O reeling him in with the LSUCopter! Glad to know he'll be in attendance. Would imagine he'll attend the UGA game as well. How awesome would it be to watch the team he's committed to, lose in Death Valley?! I'm in. Let's ride boys!

I think your post needs a link. Thanks for sharing though.

Anytime you can get any recruit on campus it's a positive. Yes they are able to have contact with all recruits during this period.

It would be nice for LSU to get a win vs Georgia in tiger stadium with Emery in attendance but I do not believe the results of that one specific game will impact his decision to come or not. Even if LSU lose the game, I hope we don't, I believe we'll still have a good opportunity to sign him. As the season goes on, the distance will certainly become more obvious and could be make a big difference in the end.

All I said was it would be awesome if LSU beats the team he's committed to, while he's there watching in Death Valley. Didn't say it would ultimately lead to where he goes to school. I think it would help us alot, imo.

He’d be much better off at LSU:

- he’d be the featured back immediately;
- he’s have backs around him to take the load off and protect his body via shared carries;
- family and friends are closer to see him play;
- being a LA kid, he’d have an advantage in a career in-state after football.

At GA, he may not ever be a feature back, or may be supplanted by someone else that comes behind him. Plus, he’s far away from home.

Objectively, he’d better in a better spot now and later going to LSU.

That 45 minute drive for the family (vs 8+ hours to Athens) is going to come more into play each time he comes for visits.

Beat UGA and I think he’s ours. I want him to see a dejected Bulldog team and a potential field rush at Tiger Stadium.

He's probably pretty pumped about the possibility of playing behind our offensive line!
